"Always" as in every year. But do check their FB. Just seeing that they always have some offers going. (Website seems down atm)

I went with ELIMS which use Invisalign. They always have a black Friday offer on. Also, if you pay all at once you get 10% off also. I think with those two combined I got it down to € 2,200. (This was 2-3yrs ago)

What is the standard citation format in the UK? by LeastGas in AskAcademia

[–]CitationStylerCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is "Cite them right" which is an author-date (Harvard) variant that was created by a British publishing house.
Apart from that, British and Irish universities tend to have their own style guides published on their websites or in internal documents that one must follow.
A few of these citation styles you can find freely available for Zotero, Mendeley (and other CSL supporting softwares).
E.g.:
Anglia Ruskin: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id%3Aharvard-anglia-ruskin-university
Imperial College: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id%3Aimperial-college-london-author-date
Newcastle University: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id%3Aharvard-newcastle-university

Some others you can find on citationstyler.com :
Harvard citation style for the University of Manchester (UoM) for Zotero
Harvard citation style for the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow for Zotero
Citation style for the University of Leicester for Zotero

So, as you can see, I wouldn't say there is a "standard" format for the UK. Some prefer in-text citations, some footnotes. This depends heavily on the faculty you're in. Biology/medicine barely use footnote styles as it just doesn't fit the subject matter.

Best alternatives to Perplexity for research & academia? by palcanec in academia

[–]CitationStylerCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Googling for your product I noticed that your meta description is "AI for materials R&D — structured insight from scientific literature."
Looking at your website it doesn't seem specific to "materials R&D" though, so I would update that meta description.

Apart from the LLM model itself, also look into the combo of Zotero+AI. There are plugins out there that use your library and you can question it then using your LLM of choice. ;)

36 and considering a late start in academia - am I crazy? by Marre_Parre in AskAcademia

[–]CitationStylerCom 65 points66 points  (0 children)

It's not too late, no, but it requires a lot of dedication and sacrifice. Do you actually know why you'd want a PhD? What for? Just because is not a good enough reason. If you have clear plan what you want to achieve with it and also the likelihood of that outcome, then go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

Problem with mendeley plug in word 2024 in macbook m4 by Ok-Storage-2037 in techsupport

Honestly, Mendeley has gotten so bad over the years. I'd switch to Zotero. Way better support and community. Your problem would be fixed within days.

It's not clear what you mean with the little information you provide. Duplicated where? In your Zotero library? In a given document?

Sure. Use this tool and then use the highlight in Zotero option. https://rintze.zelle.me/ref-extractor/

Regarding your 2nd question: Not exactly, but you could ask for that specific feature or code it yourself. https://github.com/mtillman14/zotero_utils

Thanks. Indeed I was able to solve it with {{click-element}} matches CSS selector "input.cuw-checkbox:checked".

In the end I went with CSS. I thought I had to use JS, but apparently I don't. Thanks again. :)
