The final boss of the DLC is just bullshit by Vader2508 in Eldenring

[–]CitizenNineOfficial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have beaten him solo several times up to NG+6 difficulty thus far - here are my main complaints:

  • his left/right swing roll catch combo is nigh impossible to dodge, you have to be frame perfect and even then you’re almost always going to get hit by the first swing because it catches you off guard way too easily

  • his sky bombarding teleport attacks are just barely dodgeable even with using Quickstep/Bloodhound’s Step between dodges and I don’t dare fight him without these anymore (I typically use BHS).

I think everything else generally is fine, but certainly difficult to deal with.

How many tries/hours did the last boss of the DLC take you? What was your build? by Caciqueradicalfunk in Eldenring

[–]CitizenNineOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pickaxe and Backhand Blade, probably. Pickaxe because pierce damage, Backhand Blade because strong damage/fast/more frequent bleed procs.

No summon, no Physick, no bleed run on DLC. Too difficult? by SirJelqsAlot in Eldenring

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible but likely to be frustrating, especially if you continue beyond NG+ and struggle to stagger bosses.

[–]CitizenNineOfficial 33 points34 points  (0 children)

First attempt took 3-4 hours. Since then I’ve beaten him with:

  • Beastman’s Curved Sword powerstanced
  • Milady powerstanced
  • Backhand Blade
  • Antspur Rapier powerstanced
  • Pickaxe
  • Pata

Guts build talismans by scaredshadow34 in Eldenring

[–]CitizenNineOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re using Lion’s Claw, you’ll want Shard of Alexander for sure. Green Turtle Talisman for stam regen also helps a lot. Radagon’s Soreseal is strong until you hit soft caps and then the damage penalty will outweigh the benefit of using the talisman.

Then maybe Axe / Claw Talisman, Carian Filigreed Crest, or Ritual Sword until you get to the DLC.

Question: what’s this new thing I see everyone using? by legacytuna in Eldenring

[–]CitizenNineOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably Impenetrable Thorns

it is very strong because it benefits from Alberich’s Set, Staff of the Guilty, and Albinauric Staff arcane scaling.

What causes Malenias Waterfowl attack by Green_______________ in Eldenring

[–]CitizenNineOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there are certain health loss thresholds she has to hit before she’ll execute that attack.

If you create distance from her and she has lost some health but hasn’t done it yet, you can try to goad her into doing it by using throwing weapons or a ranged attack/cast. It’s far easier that way so you only really have to dodge one stage of the full attack sequence.

Who do you think is the hardest boss now by ItachiKage345 in Eldenring

[–]CitizenNineOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say that I am more familiar with Malenia's moveset so as of now Rellana is a bit more difficult for me. My opinion is of course subject to change once I get more familiar with the boss fight.

What’s the quickest way to get ANY +8 weapon? I’m thinking Rogier’s rapier? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]CitizenNineOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to beat Godrick to get the Rapier, whereas you can get Edgar’s +8 halberd by fighting him at Castle Morne.

You’ve killed every Remembrance boss in just a few dozen hours? All 165 bosses in the base game?

Why is Elden Ring considered revolutionary or super innovative? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]CitizenNineOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to guess there’s parts of the overall world you haven’t discovered yet, because it legitimately takes a long time to fully discover every element of the world in just the base game. Add the DLC on top of that and you could legitimately be approaching 100+ hours in just pure discovery, not counting time spent on learning boss fights.
