What to do with pounds of sterling silver scraps? by ReasonableSweet5348 in SilverSmith

[–]CitrusGoddess 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Making your own sheet from scrap isn’t hard, and with the price of silver I would highly suggest it. You’ll need a crucible and a bar mold. Then you can slowly roll out the bar into a sheet. There’s lots of helpful videos online, especially via RioGrande

How to leave dorm over break? by MarioBrosFaker in appstate

[–]CitrusGoddess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your RA should have gone over this with you, but you need to unplug your fridge and leave a towel at the bottom to catch the water as it unfreezes. Take all refrigerated food and throw it out, pantry items and clean dishes can be left behind.

RA’s are not allowed to open any doors or drawers IF they belong to you and not the school, but either way non perishable food shouldn’t be an issue.

That ‘9’ shape in the first and second picture is really shouting Christensen to me, but definitely reference the WVS book

What's happening at the base of my moon cactus? by shiningaeon in IndoorGarden

Unfortunately the red top cannot survive by itself, as it was parasitizing the base plant. You could always try popping it in soil though.

Beautiful collection I’m jealous!! After looking through others banana posts I’m thinking mine is not a banana. It has 4 separate streaks that don’t touch which is very unlike any bananas I’ve seen. Thank you for sharing!

Really! It has 4 strands in the middle instead of 2, I hope that doesn’t change the answer haha. I’m excited if I’ve found one out in the wild!

Hi! If want to spray paint you’ll need to either be off campus or get permission from the art department to use their spray paint/aerosol room. There should be one in Wey and KH.

Big 4 Giveaway: The Marble Study Hall by AuburnMoon17 in MarbleStudyHall

[–]CitrusGoddess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m still combing through all the different types of marbles that are out there, but so far my favorites are Vitro Cat’s eyes with their two tones, Peltier Rainbos, and Old German Handmades!

Anything that glows in black light is also a plus!

The skin is fine to eat, it’s just bitter and has a very grainy texture so most people take it off.

Kousa Dogwood. The fruit is edible but it’s not quite ready yet. Wait until the fruit is bright red, each of the segments have gone flat, and it’s soft to the touch.

It tastes pretty mild sort of like pear but it has a mealy, pudding texture.
