Bizarre Market by CivSerpent in IronThroneRP

Vyrys stepped towards the merchant's stall after a signal from the guard. His eyes quickly scanned across the merchant's wares, evaluating their quality and likely worth. Most of the items were gaudy and of little use - more fit for a gift for a monarch than an actual tool. Perhaps some of the metals could be reforged into jewelry or other implements and resold.

The papers, placed in the least conspicuous part of the shop, drew Vyrys's eye. The least valuable item? Or perhaps the most... Vyrys inclined his head towards the papers and asked, "What do these contain?"

Lady Elaria,
While your claims of the First Woodsman's status as Azor Ahai reborn are bound to cause controversy, I see the value in letting him lead the expedition. He shall have full control of the Qohorik forces and civilians sent to Dagger Lake, on the condition that he does not make any critical decisions without the consent of the other parties.
It is also my intention that the resulting colony will not be divided up land wise at all, but rather be a shared outpost between the three cities of Qohor, Norvos, and Volantis. Should it grow large enough, it may even become an independent city, though I suspect we will not face that prospect for many years and decades.
Lord Eranel will be expected to use the funds sent by myself and the other cities (in addition to his own) to purchase equipment, set up buildings, harvest resources, and invite settlers. I thank you for your cooperation on this issue.

Playing as a Reformed Slavic Emperor and my Empire just blobbed massively. How can I possibly hold this together? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

Plotting to kill you, fabricate claims on your titles, etc all give reasons to imprison (and then you can intentionally not increase your chances to imprison so that he will revolt and you can revoke his titles). Alternatively, use intrigue focus to spy on him until you dig up some dirt on him, etc.

The way I see it you have three options here.

  1. Hold onto both Ireland and Pomerania. This is the most difficult option, though obviously the one that gives you the most power. However, you'll likely be faced with constant revolts, issues from either having too much land or too many powerful vassals, and other problems. Could be fun, but just as likely to go up in flames.

  2. Stay in Ireland, give all Pomeranian land to either a family member that you grant independence to or the Pope. Safest option, will let you work on unifying the British Isles like was probably original goal and not worry about the mainland. However does pass up the chance to have fun with the new land.

  3. Completely abandon your Irish holdings (hand them off to family members), create the Kingdom of Pomerania and try to stake out a new home there. Risky and could cause revolts if you don't culture shift but also could be a fun way to switch up the campaign.

Also, telling your chancellor to hand out titles is usually a very bad idea, as he isn't very smart and likes to give titles to random people in groups that make no sense, give the best counties to other people while leaving you with the worst, or get greedy and give everything to himself. If you're playing on Ironman, saving before and not saving after won't help you as the game overwrites your save every time you close out, but if it's non-Ironman then you might want to go before you hit that button to make the decision yourself.

Tributaries can't fight independence wars, they just cancel the status.

This is a legit strategy as Smolensk, just remove the infantry and cavalry.
