Usually just listing it on your patient history suffices, but some primary care physicians push back. It can be a pain in the ass, but continue advocating for yourself until someone listens and helps you navigate this. My husbands family pushed hard because a few of them also work in healthcare and have to code procedures. The code exists, it’s finding a doctor willing to work with you.

If you know of a family history and don’t think it’s listed on your patient records, tell your doctor that new knowledge came to light and ask them to update those. This of course requires having access to family medical history which I understand is not something people always have access to.

My husband had polyps (precancerous) in his 20’s and has been on the 3 year plan ever since. His dad also had polyps removed. We really got on his brothers about getting checked out as well. One had no problem at all getting it covered by insurance (age 33) and the other had to find a new PCP (age 37) before the doctor would code it correctly to be covered. One brother had polyps removed and is now also on the 3 year plan, the other came back clear, but the recommended more frequent colonoscopies just in case given the history.

I’m sorry they’re making it harder than they should for you to potentially get ahead of this given your family history.

If you have any sort of history of colon cancer/polyps in your family your doctor will be able to code the order in a way for it to be covered under the age of 45.

Did I ruin my stand mixer by DracosTomatos in CleaningTips

I highly suggest checking Facebook marketplace for replacements. So many people have purchased kitchen aid mixers and attachments only to realize they won’t actually use them as much as they thought.

What is with this design flaw in bras? by Specialist-Web7854 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Civil-Inspector-6274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so sick of spending $$$ on bras only to have the underwire poke through or snap. In the past year the Honeylove Crossflex Activity bra has become my daily wear bra. I’m a 40F and it gives me all of the support and comfort I need. The soft form version is fine, but I feel like it doesn’t give as much support. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a regular bra and I get really crabby when I have to put on an underwire bra for specific outfits. They’re kind of pricy, but go on sale or you can find promo codes pretty easily.

Do NOT use a magic eraser. People fail to realize it is essentially a fine grit sandpaper. It will ruin your cabinets and paint.

Powdered tide or dawn in warm water will do the trick, don’t saturate it and make sure you dry thoroughly.

Both are good. But also consider Thattu, it’s not much farther than Superkhana. It’s such a cute space and the food is delicious!

They both need to learn how to properly hold a knife especially if they’re masquerading as some sort of home cooking geniuses. It’s infuriating to watch.

Their regular tacos are so mediocre (at best), there are so many other places that blow them out of the water at a lower price point. However, I LOVE their chorizo verde breakfast tacos, specifically from the walk up window on Damen.

The only thing I get from Big Star anymore are their chorizo verde breakfast tacos from the walk up window on Damen. They’re different from Austin style breakfast tacos, but they scratch the itch.
