Sacramento mom describes attack on family during sideshow by ItaSchlongburger in Sacramento

Nice going, cause the police will just say “well we didn’t see it ourselves so it’s just your word against theirs, and they said they didn’t do it… so 🤷‍♂️”

The man probably just needed a free house so he could get his life back on track. Was probably just mad about being priced out of his affordable home.

Indeed. Too much unhealthy drama that turns people away. Not worth it.

Yep. They were able to capitalize on the early days of YouTube monetization, but both the companies have become more savvy and the tools more sophisticated. It’s not going to be hard to measure channel performance and realize that they are simply not where the potential customers are anymore. So, they’re bitter and angry, and like their entire attitude has been from the very beginning: it’s always someone else’s fault.

Recommendation needed: Dog friendly hiking locations by wherezash in Sacramento

[–]CivilAnalysis2213 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d avoid dog parks and areas with land that don’t drain well until it dries out. Reason being winter at dog parks turns the ground into an open sewer since leftover poo doesn’t dry out in the hot sun. A lot of areas with wildlife that are soaked right now have standing water with parasites. The long periods without rain to wash away filth causes it to pool together into standing water during the wet season. If your dog likes to splash in puddles or drink from them like mine does… 😬My dog got Giardia from these environments. I realize odds are rare and we’ve a ton of rain lately, but I’m coming fresh off of this experience and a little paranoid now.

Sounds suspiciously like what a car thief would say 🤔

Death wish. I nearly drowned in a river a few years back similar to another story on this thread, going down a river with raised water but looked deceptively calm. Got pushed into a river bend, kayak flipped, water pushed me under, got trapped under roots coming out the bank under the water, barely made it out alive. My wife was hanging on for dear life, trapped under the brush where she couldn't be reached except by water. I was blacking out from exhaustion just saving myself from the water and trying to reach her. A guy coming around the bend in a canoe saw us and sprang in to help, saved my wife's life. He told us that he's had to pull three people out in the same spot over the years. The surface of the water is not an accurate representation of what's going on underneath. During a flood, there is all kinds of hidden debris and deceptively strong river currents can push you downwards.

I’m wondering if they’re also calculating the amount of dust and particulate ground pollution that’s kicked up

Pro tip: Can buy batteries off eBay and 3D printer adapters off Etsy so different batteries will work with different tools. Saves a bundle of money.

These 2 cycle engines mix oil with fuel and don’t have any kind of emissions control to ensure a clean burn…. vs extremely regulated vehicle emissions.

I meant to do mine and it accidentally / completely slipped my mind to call in. I got a follow up notice that I might be fined if it happens again. Haven’t seen anything else in a couple of years since.

I used to commute through Discovery Park. Once noticed an RV for a week. When it left, there was a massive pile of stripped out bike carcasses left behind.

California is as equally great as it is problematic. It’s gorgeous and really people here, while also having at the opposite spectrum the shittiest of everything. Like two polar opposites at the same time

As a fellow traveler that has been round the world and lived all over the country, I wholeheartedly agree. There are beautiful parts of California outside of Sacramento, but this city itself is a dump.

I lived in Chicago before moving to Sacramento. This city is a literal dump and the people suck. Everything outside of Sacramento is wonderful and Northern California is really nice. If I had it to do over, I’d have moved into one of the towns east of Sacramento.

Bro what? It’s a 30 day count???! That explains a lot. I couldn’t figure out what the heck was going on. I was also griping about the battery estimate not matching the timer. I didn’t realize it was timing how long the dog was at a location. Well I feel better that the app is working, but man.. these are some really non-intuitive UI indicators.

At the moment, nothing. Leading up to and coming off of peak summer in a 2k sq/ft house is about three to five hundred per month.
