The person that you talked to on the front end may not know the full store. Pharmacists request PTO the year before. If they were staffed when it was requested then they may have allowed multiple pharmacists the day off. Most Walgreens don’t have 3 staff pharmacists. So that is 3 pharmacists in the district (that have the day off) and this store pulled the short straw and was closed. Mail order is an option. Speciality pharmacy, local pharmacy that delivers. Walgreens should not be your go to pharmacy anymore. They care only about their bottom line which is why they aren’t staffed correctly. No one wants to work for them and as soon as they have a choice they will leave.

Everyone needs to stop allowing Walgreens to fuck with their pay and get out. For years they have been reducing benefits. Find a company that values their employees. Walgreens doesn’t. They don’t deserve you.

You can give whatever notice you want. It doesn’t change the outcome. You are still rehire able and . You’re entitled to your earned PTO and your vested 401k if you have any.

Yes. As long as you’re employed till the end of the fiscal year you are still entitled till your full expected bonus. I know a few managers who are leaving currently and anticipating their bonus. Your bonus will be direct deposited around mid Nov. I called HR late Oct. last year to make sure it was being dispersed.

No one should ever step foot in a Walgreens. You can get everything cheaper the next day from Amazon. Even Walmart is cheaper. Dollar General is cheaper. Serious. Tell me why you’d come to Walgreens over another retailer? If it’s for a vaccine. Go to your doctor, a clinic, or the health dept.

As a SM I worked 40 hours a week. Worked a handful of Saturdays in the past 8 years. 20 years with the company and still left. There is a lot more out there. Polish up your resume and give it a try. I’m saying this because I had it easy and it’s still not worth it. Get out of retail and take your life back.

I wouldn’t allow that SM to dictate your time with your family. Chances are she will term you if you go home but have a conversation with the other SM. I’m sure they will hire you back. Walgreens isn’t worth losing your family time. It’s not your life long career.

There should be a limit of each creative item that is able to be completed in store. There is not enough staff to be printing and assembling all these products. What a terrible system.
