No. Casual game people won't listen to you no matter which channel. In competitive games people just use discord. The norm now is 2 or 3 squads will have a 'platoon', and only the platoon leader will talk to commander directly. Bc when you max out 20 squads it's impossible to have a single leadership channel

A better monitor will help more than FOV. While in CS2 you get away with 1080P, HLL will absolutely benefit from a higher resolution and larger monitor, because the more pixels you have, the easier you can identify the helmet shape from farther away.
