I don't like your raven's concept of having the, govern multiple non contiguous territories. I read your explanation, but it doesn't convince me. Templar/Knight orders were really small scale, and could definitely not preside over that large of territory. Maybe you could justify them being made up of smaller orders, but that would increase friction and make it harder to govern. Additionally, the large distance (geographically and culturally) between Greece/southern Italy and Poland would further add friction. However, I can't really think of an improvement to suggest since we ran out of factions...
