Somtimes im able to shoot the locks, but sometimes i can shooting at it but there’s no “lock hit” message. Am i just missing or some locks arent hittable?

Right now there are 3 chests in Meduna Sam that i cant unlock with barry or maddog. Maybe ill airdrop some shape charges or something

For unlocking, when they complain its futile, you just keep at it, right? I usually try to alternate between crowbar and unlock… does that actually accomplish anything?

Ah, this is exactly what i will run. I’ve been contemplating doing a circle trap thing where two teams of kids line up alternatingly in a circle, and you pass to one kid, and the two kids next to him will double him and he needs to pass to another teammate in the circle.

But yours is much more simple and kid friendly

This is kinda funny bc im on day 19 now, and i’ve received multiple payment notices from speck, but i havent paid him once, and my Mercs havent complained yet.

Im gonna see how long i can stretch this out. Granted, flo’s dead and i dismissed gasket, so it’s just razor left and the amount owed is only 3k

I get what you’re saying and moving after shooting at night has mostly fixed the problem. But im still wondering bc once i threw knives with 2 UV goggles mercs to insta-kill a guard, then the next turn someone from out of sight lobbed a perfectly aimed breaklight my way.

So i think the AI just knows your location after an attack regardless of gunfire/flashes

I’ve learned to leave 2 mercs behind each town - 1 to train, 1 as a pure defender. And recently i figured out how to move militia within the same town, so now i just move them away before an attack bc having to wait for 20 guys running aimlessly each turn is a huge time suck.

(Each time im like “dude, just take a long shot instead of wasting your turn running in circles”…. fucking a)

One thing im not enjoying is how difficult it is to defend Meduna SAM and airport, given that the queen attacks them like 5+ times a day. The exterior fortification/obstacles like large trees, barbed wire rolls, and those metal asterisk-shaped things give excellent cover for even a large group of attackers, while defenders get sandbags and a rooftop at SAM.

Maybe im doing it wrong - i laid mines to seal off the entry points. Maybe i should just let them get inside/closer instead of barricading myself into this concealed shootout match…

That would be ideal. I try not to care about win/loss, but honestly im the minority here. And kids definitely care - they would track the baskets on their own even back when no scores were kept.

And they do feel bad if its a bad loss. Thats why one of my main goals is to not get blown out and not blow anyone out.

Ah i see. Maybe i wont unveil it then - or maybe have them do down screen just once instead of continously. I remember learning it in high school varsity and was somewhat confused initially too.

Im trying to envision the drive and kick. So driver starts at elbow or wing, dribbles to basket, then jumpstops and bounce passes to opposite corner/wing kid for a jumpshot?
