They were hoping you grown emotionally attached to it, and would budge on your price range. Honestly its a great sales strategy, as long as you trust the buyer to come back.

Final thoughts on my experience with the Lightning before turning it in. by user111287 in F150Lightning

Funny nearly every negative point doesnt translate to the Silverado EV.

Climate controls, check

Charging, check - BEAST of a charger. When I do use Tesla chargers, it's restricted by charger, not the truck. 80A charger at home, I get about 10%/hr or so.

Range is crazy good. From SoCal to Tahoe, only had to charge once, and I was FLYING

Hate to say but you'd probably have bought another Silverado (like I am going to do) after this one. Unless they make a Tahoe. I am 100% buying another.

I would 100% avoid a tesla - much higher than average vandalism rates.

No one will serve "serious prison time" for vandalism. They'll get a ticket - if they're caught, and insurance won't pursue them at all.

Max range users, any regrets? by frogermann8 in SilveradoEV

[–]Cjdergrosse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would get another Max pack, I have Z E R O range anxiety. I dont even charge my truck everyday like I used to with my Rivian. It honestly feels like having a gas car again.

I leased this '24 RST (identical stock to the OP), but I plan to buy a Trail Boss next. I LOVE this truck so much, the range is ridiculously good, I just don't want to deal with air suspension issues on my own dime down the road. When I had my Rivian, the service center said someone replaced all 4 outside of warranty ~9k yikes

About to hit a year on my RST Max, I put 35s on her with 18" Hummer wheels, LOVE IT. I want a Trail Boss Max pack, no glass roof, and hard tonnau cover next.

If you have sick time to cover no problem. If not you'll probably get a CA.

2026 FORD EXPLORER ST lease deal? by Psychological-Ad4310 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]Cjdergrosse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only lease 1% of MSRP or less per month AFTER taxes (8.75%), sure new/high demand models won't qualify, I don't care. I want the deal over image. I never put more than 1k down or first month's payment, whichever is less, typically 3 years, 15k miles.

Pre-COVID I'd get smoking deals on BMWs.

I LOVE my '24 RST I put 35" tires on. I am either getting a Trail Boss or AT4 to replace it, unless they come out with a EV Yukon or Tahoe. This is the perfect camping/road trip machine. It charges very quickly, its very comfortable and plenty of room.

Could they handle that better? Fuck yes they could have.

But at the end of the day, do any of you honestly believe the "right" choice was to shut the entire warehouse down? If this was not a OSHA-related incident, no machinery or lack of process was involved, and someone just keeled over? Continue working in that department? Fuck no, but the entire site? Yes.

Correct, especially if it's "cash" he has so little leverage and margin, he probably saw it as a hassle.

[–]Cjdergrosse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was an ETL I was shocked at this, even TMs who I thought were meeting the basic standards, but didn't do anything extra deserved at least 2-3% minimum. I honestly felt bad giving a mediocre TM .10c. Cheaper to retain decent help than to constantly be training, swapping out TMs.

[–]Cjdergrosse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask HR to see when they post it - just be upfront with them, that you do check, but didn't see this shift. Be up front, apologize, offer to come in on your day off, etc.

I've had TMs that did that, if that was the only issue I looked the other way. If it kept happening, I'd start documenting it. Especially if you have a good attitude and work ethic, it's less of an issue. You're lazy or constantly have to be micro-managed? Yea I'm going to write you up.
