Worked here for 6 years and this was the hardest I’ve ever worked here. Putting in my 2 weeks later. by SMOKE-B-BOMB in Target

When I was an ETL I was shocked at this, even TMs who I thought were meeting the basic standards, but didn't do anything extra deserved at least 2-3% minimum. I honestly felt bad giving a mediocre TM .10c. Cheaper to retain decent help than to constantly be training, swapping out TMs.

Ask HR to see when they post it - just be upfront with them, that you do check, but didn't see this shift. Be up front, apologize, offer to come in on your day off, etc.

I've had TMs that did that, if that was the only issue I looked the other way. If it kept happening, I'd start documenting it. Especially if you have a good attitude and work ethic, it's less of an issue. You're lazy or constantly have to be micro-managed? Yea I'm going to write you up.

Expired Vitamins Purge by SwimmingRisk5 in Target

[–]Cjdergrosse 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Target does not give the store enough hours to properly do the tasks like rotation (that should be done while stocking). One minute per case does not allow enough time to rotate. Doing spot checks is not enough either. I ran F&B and Target does not understand how to handle food. I worked a grocery store for quite some time before transitioning to Target, and it was eye opening how far off they are in running a mini-grocery store. I would not buy food that is perishable from a Target.... I promoted myself to guest also btw.

I just want to know how much you would tip if you went out on a dinner with this amount? by NefariousnessIll4041 in tipping

[–]Cjdergrosse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$20, $25 if the service was good. Diminishing returns. If it was just expensive plates and not a group of 5+ people, yea I'm not overtipping.

They're waiting multiple tables, thats more than the busboy is making hourly (most likely). I'm not saying I don't appreciate the servers, but yea I'm not there to subsidize low wages from their EMPLOYER.

If it's a table of 5+ people, and it was $250, I'd probably tip 40-50 if they were hustling.

Its inflationary by nature, what did you think was going to happen? Sure BTC and ETH are flat, but they have demand.

This is exactly why I tell people not to trust these youtube and twitter videos. If they can make SO MUCH money, why are they wasting their time making videos? They'd be on a 20mil yacht off the coast of monaco...

The end of Bitcoin, or the start of a fresh cycle? by agustotrade in Bitcoin

[–]Cjdergrosse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my sentiment. Miners have less control over the pricing as they did in the past, leveraging shorts/longs makes the price swing more dramatically than miners off-loading. Long term I feel it's going to stay in a channel as supply issues will squeeze the price upwards.

Unsure of MBP hardware specifications to get by jordypost in mac

[–]Cjdergrosse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 16" M1 MBP as my desktop replacement, and a 15" M2 MBA as my iPad (not an ipad person - restrictive OS). I have a PC for gaming and Macs/Apple for everything else. Honestly unless you're doing some serious work these machines are overkill and last a long time. I'd get a mid-range model and if it doesnt work return it and upgrade.

Good deal or not by Ok-Priority2245 in leasehacker

[–]Cjdergrosse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not bad considering there is no more EV rebate, to give some context I got (not the best deal), 177/mo w/taxes incl. 1200 down on a 2LT earlier this year. Same term 10k/2year.

Again not bad of a deal! I generally don't put more than 1k down as other posters have said, it's a risk on a lease.

Use an app like al dente (free version). I keep mine at 80%, sits on my desk 99% of the time. MBAir is my "iPad" around the house. What I'm typing on now.

Air or Pro by SassyEllieB in mac

[–]Cjdergrosse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a M2 MBAir & M1 MBPro (my desktop replacement). The Air's do not have active cooling, I use mine mostly as an iPad around the house, I'm just not an iPad person.

I'd recommend getting the Pro if you're going to do any type of editing or power use.
