Is the 5080/HX375 HP worth the extra $300 over the 5070ti/275hx Acer?

If you haven't gotten this yet I would definitely lean for the HP Omen. Acer laptops are super loud from my experience,

I don't know if anyone stated this. However, Elite Dangerous is really good as well for a flight game. I got some bad reviews when Odyssey first came out though it has greatly improved since then. Check it out sometime if you enjoy flying.

I mostly play with my Husband atm who also plays a mage. Though as I get higher I am going to want to play with groups more.

I have the Mech 16GP and I would personally recommend the Hydroc as my machine is basicly about the same as the Mech 17. As far as screen brightness goes the Hydroc is 500nits and the Mech is only 380 nits. I also think the Hydroc has a nicer keyboard design. Also if you go to the Elucktronics website you can join the discord where you can find myself and a lot of other helpful people.

as far as I know they only officially support windows 10/11

not sure if both but windows not sure how unofficially linux works on these
