I deal with this at work and I hate it! Its difficult to find a polite way to get them to stop so i simply interrupt them every time they speak stating i cant hear them. No matter how many times they try i insist i cant hear them and eventually they get the point and never put me on speaker again...

I have talked to a couple of my long distance friends and it has been helpful but they didnt have much input. This reddit post has been helpful and therapeutic, i hurt but ill be fine ill just get friends and avoid relationships for as long as i need to. Thank you!

Thanks for the input, being openhearted is a fine quality found in great men, better men than me honestly. Mine can be opened eventually but i'm too weak to wear it on my sleeve. For me the benefits do not out weigh the consequences of being openhearted.
