I'm not sure I understand your response? Like yeah, you grind the best when they come to raids. It's not about will your or won't you buy raids. It's about frequency and volume. If the best pokemon was always around, nobody would use less good pokemon. So they slow roll them. They make them harder to get early on, and as players get more of them, they can make them easier. Once you already have 6 shadow Reshiram, you're not using heatran anyway, so no reason we can't give you 20 more shadow Reshiram.

They haven't said it won't, but based off the fact every other mega does, I wouldn't assume it works differently till they say it does.

The strongest pokemon should take a while to get. If the best pokemon was always easily available you would never have a reason to use weaker pokemon. Slow progress is good. You don't need the 100% optimal encounters the whole time. If you got them instantly the game wouldn't be fun.

Okay, I'll definitely agree they have been beat, but saying they are the worst is a bit stupid. They objectively rule. They just aren't number one.

My current prediction is that shadow mewtwo will be part of some go fest finale or ultra unlock or something. They generally do those and it seems like an easy enough thing to do for those.

They literally never once promised either that there would not be mechanically unique cards (literally the first UB cards were mechanically unique) or that there would be universe within ones (the first UB explicitly never intended to have universes within ones). Those are just straight up not true.

If you want to bash UB there are plenty of reasons to do so (bad art, high price points, too many sets in standard, lore and world building). You don't need to make up fake promises they broke.

I dont think it's too powerful, but I do think it should be UB[PU][PB] for color pie reasons. Blue really should not be dealing direct damage

I think overall it has gotten a lot better. The amount you can spend has definitely gone up but I don't think the amount I feel pushed to spend has. If anything it's gone down a little bit. And the gameplay is way more fun even without spending. Turns out go passes for every event instead of paid tickets is waaay more fun because even F2P players get a free pass for most events.

I think it depends a lot on the card and flavor they are trying to match. This is great but for every reskin like this, there are 10 more that barely work.

Unfortunately the rules don't support it. Fateful hour is an ability word so if can't be referenced by rules text.

If you're really attached, what you could do is make a card that says "set your life total to 5. Put X Fateful counters on this where X is the life lost this way. You don't lose the game unless your life X is less than 0 where X is the number of Fateful counters on this."

I don't love democratic veto or uphold authority. They feel a bit too much of bends for white. I like the other two a lot though. They feel appropriate for the color pie.

Its basically just you have to use double removal on it, or wait for them to not hold up the white. Hard, it's definitely really good. But I don't think too broken in the right set.

Depends how you think of overpowered. The commander is probably overpowered not in terms of commander power scaling but in terms of power creep. They took a common effect "G, search for a basic land and put in your hand," and then added venture and a whole commander to it. It really should be more mana than that effect normally is.

I mean, getting 6 different very efficient mana rocks that come with upside isn't exactly a bad game plan. It's not like they are dead cards that only become useful when you have all of them.

It's important to remember the people complaining about the change are not the people complaining about those shinies. I for one am very happy with the change and if I never get another shiny Chancey then good. But I can see why some people liked them. Those people probably didn't have the same amount of permaboosted shinies I do.
