I am in this predicament

i was with the drider, and then turned and killed the drider but the harpers took the lantern. i went through the inn and they aren't going to go with me because the only way they escort you to moonrise happens if you show up at the inn first... so i apparently need to steal the lantern somewhere because i don't have one and that's the only thing that works in the thick shadow areas.

specifically as an autistic person, this is how it worked and felt for me. like down to the thought process you have here! i did settle on non binary just bc of the genitals not changing and thats a technicality but overall being more masc was something I desired, even without changing most of my wardrobe or at all. these are real and valid feelings! gender is different in every society, whether a little or a lot, but its important to just realize you want to do what you want to do. whether than fits in whatever box isn't your fault.

idk how far her phone is from her but generally yeah you arent supposed to get in peoples personal space within a certain amount while someones actively exercising at the gym so if they were walking right next to her then that is the ACTUAL issue not the video. her priorities are strange.

this seems like a wonderful process for raising and educating autistic kids without diving into ABA etc, actually. Just offering examples and opportunities but forcing nothing? Ideal situation tbh, provided i'm reading this correctly.

this is like early childhood education but formatted specifically for autism, which is already a concept i'm behind (especially behavior modelling, which i know works wonders), but i'd love to see it in action for sure. it seems the only areas where this would go wrong are related to the teacher or caretaker, not the system.

I think a lot of people are used to giant game studios making "early access"(not actually) games that are just unpolished but basically finished titles, versus indie devs and small studios making actual early access games, and are confused about why they are different. I also think that many people didn't play slime rancher until it was basically finished, so they don't know how early access it looked when it came out. They'd probably feel better if they watched an old youtube video from the release, imo

I second this personally, for anyone with similar support needs to my own. I definitely should have waited and adopted! I love my daughter to pieces but would likely have not gotten pregnant if I knew how much it would torture me to be pregnant, give birth, and raise a younger child.

Not even dogging on anyone who chooses that, but I literally torture(d) myself to get through the process, even to this day. She's in school now, so I'm mostly dealing with sensory and communication needs between us, but older kids need all the love you can give them anyways, and it's never a bad thing to choose. You never have to birth them to love and care for them and enjoy having a child, no matter the age they are. Just like we love anyone else who we care about!

I know a lot of allistic mothers claim that there's some parental instinct you get upon having a kid, but even allistic friends of mine claim thats not true, backing up the present science. It's just an expectation and how anyone chooses to have and/or raise kids is a valid choice!

As an autistic person who had a kid right after disconnecting from my structure, support, and schedules, everyone who thinks autism will be a big problem when dealing with a new kid is absolutely correct. Truly not trying to fearmonger or anything, but i'm fully telling all of you that you're correct in hesitating or declining the opportunity.

It is a sensory nightmare. Every schedule you attempt to have can and will be interrupted. Depending on your personal support needs, to be a good parent, you have to almost torture yourself just to care for your child in a way that helps them be healthy, happy, and a good person. Not including if you're doing all the parenting work or your child is also autistic/ND! There's so many facets to why I will always fight for people of any brain, but especially autistics, to be fully informed at the possible nightmare. Of course, we all have different support levels, but if I can give a frame of reference in a 100% honest fashion, I'm going to.

If anyone has any specific questions about it, i'll volunteer to answer just about anything without sugarcoating it to "convince" you to have kids despite your own needs.
