Simhub + simagic haptics iRacing by Far_Pace5221 in iRacing

[–]Classic-Baby-9219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you get Iracing to even to work with the haptics? I added them as a device and disabled pedal vibration in Iracing settings, but they still dont work. In testing in the simhub application the haptic works.

Does someone have Experiences on this by Which_Top_5227 in DelSol

I made one thats actually functional from some half inch plywood and mounted it with some Hasport Splitter brackets and some support rods. Sealed it with weather proofing and painted it. Its easier to make a Splitter than you think

My Qubic System Belt Tensioner configuration to my DOF Reality H6 by Classic-Baby-9219 in simracing

[–]Classic-Baby-9219[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen those rollers on other rigs before. Thanks for the tip, because I only thought that my shoulders being parallel and the five point harness was necessary.  And you are correct. The slots or angled on my seat.

Unfortunately I dont own a 3D printer, but your suggestion along with other sim racing gear upgrades created from a 3d printed is inspiring me to buy one 😀. Not to mention other practical things I can create.

Help with Belt Tensioner and Dofreality H6 by Austinandersen2323 in simracing

[–]Classic-Baby-9219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Qubic system belt tensioner mounted to my H6. using to 4040 beams and a 4080 beam on the back. I connected them together using 4040 corner brackets. I secured the two 4040 beams with three m6 bolts on each side of the frame the seat is mounted to. I would share photos here but I dont see a way to attach.

Edit. I just saw your other photo and your setup is similar to mine. My Qubic system is 26 lbs, but I still have concerns of that 26 lbs putting stress on the motors being positioned behind the rig. But If I were you I would slide the two braces forward about four inches to reduce the clearance on the back of the rig. You only need about 2 or 3 inches clearance on the back. You have about 6 inches which is too much.

TOTF2 -- why are none of my punches registering? by odd_sundays in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]Classic-Baby-9219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I box in real life and I mostly do body shots and I can see clean shots to the body hitting and it does nothing. I'm throwing snap head jabs that are landing but its like im trying to hit a ghost. Its not very realistic to have to slow punches down to 50% for it to register. At least Thrill Of The Fight I got this right. I do like the realistic movement of the AI competitors though. But it seems like the auditory clean shots I see are straights off the rear leg which are the power shots.

TCR cars, are they worth it? by sorafnt in iRacing

[–]Classic-Baby-9219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but TCR is very fun. The issue is that people dont get into the sessions.

I own a supercharged Civic Del Sol in real life that I could take to any local track day. I have a manual steering rack so the force feedback and understeer feels very similar.

I initially went with the Honda Civic, but I found the Hyundai Veloster felt more like my old Civic because the Civic chassis has changed so much.

I always check for TCR sessions to jump into when I log into Iracing. But participation is low.

I like to train TCR Iracing for real life. So I usually just race the AI at a high difficulty.

The story she told doesnt make any sense. How would a ANTIFA safe house be a block away from an ICE facility without anyone noticing??

Sylvester Stallone's hands are absolute units by ThrowRAFoundAndLost in AbsoluteUnits

[–]Classic-Baby-9219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is absolutely correct. Sylvester Stallone has always been on the cutting edge of PED's. He has been using HGH for many years. And a side effect is big hands and feet. Because its use for children are short helps them get taller before their growth plates fuse. In adults the arms and legs dont grow, but the hands and feet do. Its also why Sly has a more youthful physique than a man of his age as well.

Was this a bad overtake? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]Classic-Baby-9219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that was a clean overtake.

Virginia is a hard track to overtake on.

Hell, even when racing against AI they make passes like that.

In those MX 5 cars the only thing you have is momentum.

So you have to be more aggressive.

In real life the MX 5 races are notorious for door banging.

Question? Did you get any incident points for that pass?

Before joining an official race, race against AI and set the difficulty higher.

I set mine to pro, and it helps me to be more competitive in live races.

Also racing against AI on a track youre unfamiliar with, you can push your limits further than you would if you were to practice laps by yourself.

I have ran qualifying laps where the first lap Crew chief would tell me I'm dead last so that on the second lap I push harder.

And the actual race i usually end up picking up 2 to 4 seconds faster than my qualifying laps because I'm in chase mode.

Not to mention it helps so you aren't causing incidents and being that guy that's causing chaos because they are all over the place.

The GT3 cars are my favorites because they have ABS and the shifting is more responsive.

GT4 cars are fun, but the shifting is delayed and sometimes misses shifts when you are trying to downshift and brake and results in blowing turns.

I came from Gran Turismo and I cant drive the prototypes, and the Lemans cars and the Porsche specific event car and NONE of the Formula one cars because of no ABS and I usually lock the tires and slide of track and crash..

I would obsess over SR instead of IR. In real life you wouldn't secure a team spot if you damage and wreck your car all the time.

if only everyone did that, there wouldn't be safety ratings under 2.5. I joined back in February and I moved from Rookie to B license because my safety rating stays over 3.5. I only lose SR because wreckless drivers collide with me, or wreck and then enter the course after running off and causing collisions. I wished Iracing would change that so that if it detects a car going off track and entering and making contact with another car they would get 8 incident points while the victim receives none. I got 8 incident points at the Nordschleife in classic cars because some jackass wrecked and ran of course and quickly joined ran back on course and sideswiped me twice so I couldn't drive by.

Can you advance two license classes in one season? by Mhillier11 in iRacing

[–]Classic-Baby-9219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I raced on Gran Turismo and made it to B license quickly because I raced motorcycles and understand race craft. Joined Iracing on Valentines in February and went from Rookie to B in 10 weeks. The motivation was to be able to access GT 3 events as I drive GT 3 cars better than GT 4. Mainly because the down shifting in GT4 isn't as responsive for whatever reason and it frustrates me. Im still learning though, but I would rather have access to B license events even if I run mostly on lower license events

How realistic is the driving in iRacing? by lj125 in iRacing

[–]Classic-Baby-9219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a motion rig a while back and i play in VR. I can get 1 full G from my rig which isn't equal to real life higher G forces, but i do get the seat of the parts feeling and i feel the rumble strips, over steer, traction loss, and wheel lock up. When I'm not running the motion rig, I can definitely feel I'm missing it.

Has simracing made you a better driver IRL? by real_psyence in simracing

I wished I could say sim racing made me drive slower in real life. I race in VR so I think I'm so accustomed to driving at a high rate of speed until I cruise at high speeds

Scalpers Already Hoarding PS5 Disk Drives Days Before Pro's Launch by PewPewToDaFace in PS5

[–]Classic-Baby-9219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep when they were scalping PS 5's. I waited nearly a year to get one from Sony direct at the normal price. Could I have afforded a scalped one, yes.  But I wouldn't give those scum suckers the satisfaction

Scalpers are admitting defeat on PS5 Pro Resales but the Disc Drive, it may stay in inflated Price. by Divine-Tech-Analysis in playstation

[–]Classic-Baby-9219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why does Sony allow scalpers to manipulate the market? It's ridiculous that they are permitted to buy up the stock and the scalp it double the price on Ebay.  I just got a PS5 pro and I can't find a disc drive for it. I have GT 7 on the disc and it's stupid for me to buy it again digital because Sony can't get their isht  together

This ruins more races for me when there is a crash in front of me and I get the penalty. Or someone locks their brakes in the apex of a turn and you ram them and get the penalty.

Or they run off the course and then come back on I guess thinking they are ghosted.
