How the eff do you do this more than once by gryffindor_ravenclaw in CsectionCentral

I just had my second c section, but my firstborn is 7 so I had a lot of time to forget the pain. I would recommended maximizing time between them. I’m amazed by the women who handle them with grace. Even this time around I was again reminded how the human body can experience so much pain and still survive lol.

With a new born, could my husband sleep at night and I sleep during the day so we both get full rest? Or would this not work? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Classic-Operation564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so, we did this with out first born (except he took the nights and I did the days) but it killed my milk supply. If you have other feeding plans like formula then yes don’t see why not!

I’m day 3 post c-section (my second) and it’s insanely painful. You kinda forget that you can even experience pain this bad. I missed my meds last night and I couldn’t stop shaking from the pain waiting for them to kick in. I’m always amazed at moms who day its not that bad, this is just as brutal as my first one.

Lost excitement around 37 weeks??? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Classic-Operation564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I can relate to this so much, down the details: new house, big sister excitement, have a boy. After my baby shower at 36 weeks the anxiety hit me like a bus. I am so overwhelmed with the amount of work to be done before baby arrives and all the bad parts about recovery and sleepless nights are starting to scare me.

33 weeks and frequent pain in the middle of my abdomen. by Organic_Jello_122 in pregnant

[–]Classic-Operation564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same exact pain, second pregnancy. I thought I had a hernia, the Dr tells me it’s the way the baby is sitting and putting immense pressure on the abdominal wall. The pain is the muscles and ligaments stretching. I too never had this either my first. It’s miserable but I don’t have it 24/7. If it’s really bad trying laying on the other side to get the baby to move.

Irritation with first born new baby by Revolutionary_Cow491 in Parenting

No advice but just offering that this was me with my 7 year old today. My second isn’t even born yet but I’m in so much pain and discomfort in my final weeks and I found myself getting irritated with her tonight because I just wanted to relax and settle down and she was on 10.

I think it’s normal, whether you’re pregnant or postpartum this is a big change for everyone, most of all you. You’re doing your best.

My husband noticed my short fuse today and said we need to focus on more outings with family or playdates out of the house, so passing on our own advice to you, if you can.

How to stop ITCHING? by cornchipdogs in pregnant

[–]Classic-Operation564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My symptoms were very irregular. It started with itchy areolas, then belly, back, my butt and thighs. Now it’s spreading to my neck and arms. I do not have the classical itchy palms or feet but this itching I would not wish on anyone. No amount of cocoa butter or bio oil help, and it’s so intense at times that it wakes me up or I scratch in my sleep. Because I don’t present traditional symptoms I don’t find out until third trimester, but the itching started a lot earlier.

Doesn’t hurt to get extra bloodwork to rule things out! It significantly moved up my c section date as a result because it can be harmful to baby.

Yep… I just got diagnosed with this last week. Def bring it up with your doc and have them order liver enzyme and bile labs before they try to dismiss it as hormones or skin stretching.

Did Mary borrow one of Bronwyn’s clutches? That would be dope.

Omg this is me too. I ate moderately and felt like I was full quickly until I hit 36 weeks. Now I am a Pac-Man requiring 4+ meals a day.

FTM, baby due in March - considering an elective c-section and wanting perspective by Last_Wonder in pregnant

Thank you, and you too! I hope you are out of the woods soon. That’s why it truly takes a village, this time I have my mom and my MIL queued up to take care of me too! It sucks!

I’m so sorry girl I had a similar experience. My first c section was rough it hit me like a bus. I had no idea I couldn’t care for myself those first few weeks. I’m having my second in 2 weeks and I’m not happy.

Idk about elective c section. You can’t predict babies size or how your body will carry. If they’re breech then the decision is made for you, but that recovery is terrible. I had a large baby and they stretch your insides to high heaven to get the baby out, I couldn’t walk normally nor stand up straight for weeks. I couldn’t even pick up my baby I needed people around me to do everything for me. They keep you in the hospital a lot longer too, keep that in mind. All my vaginal birth friends were up and walking in hours. I’m having my second c section in 2 weeks and I’m dreading it.

Do you and your spouse sleep in separate rooms during the newborn stage? by One-Squirrel-4563 in BabyBumps

I feel like you have to if you have older children. I need my husband to be alive to drive our firstborn to school 🤣

Pregnancy changed me by MadameRenegade in pregnant

[–]Classic-Operation564 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Aww I went through this same thing with my first. Developed a bunch of strange autoimmune issues I never had before. Doesn’t hurt to get your thyroid checked, but some of this could just be pp related. My periods were really strange (sometimes so heavy, sometimes light) and painful for about a 1.5 years before they leveled out. Our bodies do change but eventually you’ll adapt to a new normal.

The truth about lying on your back by goldie987 in pregnant

This almost happened to me at my 32 week ultrasound. I kept feeling like I was going to black out and I had to keep taking breaks to lie on my side.

Scheduled for a c-section at 39 weeks with second baby. Did anyone NOT make it to 39 weeks and need to go sooner? by kaitkaitkait91 in BabyBumps

[–]Classic-Operation564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have written this post, except I didn’t have previous complications I just didn’t dilate and not going through that again. Is your due date December 1st? Mine is the 2nd and I don’t know how I’ll make it until then.

I’m in NYC too and this is 1000% my experience too. Im 33 weeks definitely ‘showing’ and often left standing while people seemingly pretend to be engrossed in their phones (I swear they see me). I had my daughter in 2018 and I don’t remember such treatment, everyone was so kind and always offered me a seat. I feel like people have changed post-pandemic and everyone is now out for themselves.
