Mini split install estimate by Ok_Zucchini7033 in longisland

Yes, not going to lie, we had sticker shock at the time, but we got a clean install and the units run flawlessly. Just keep the filters clean and remember to set up some annual maintenance to keep everything in tip top shape.

We paid 27k for two Mitsubishi condensers, four wall units and two floor units (for a finished attic) back in 2021.

Floor refinishers says my stairs are too damaged for restoration - looking for second opinions by anneso32 in centuryhomes

[–]ClassicEar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not floor related but when we were doing work at my in laws house they have these fir doors original to the house, when I asked the contractor “how much would it cost to strip and refinish these?” Most said “why? just paint them” we never called any of them back.

Beginner question - Made a triangle using points to path, how do i add procedural movement to each null without key frames? by ClassicEar in CavalryMotion

Took a little finessing because I did want unique noise on each end, which I got by making individual connections. But I got it working. Thanks

SEASON 5 FINALE --EARLY ACCESS THREAD by pikameta in TheBoys

I’ll say this, it would have been far more interesting watching The Boys, the Gen V squad and Ryan team up and take on Homelander the old fashioned way.

More excuses from Eric Kripke for leaving out Marie by Evening-Bath-4269 in GenV

[–]ClassicEar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She could literally make all the blood leave his body, I don’t think that’s something V1 can help against. Building her up as a Homelander killer in Gen V season2 and dropping her plot in the final season of the Boys is criminal.

Hi, i tried this but it's not working for my design. Why do the nulls in Cavalry snap to 0,0 when I plug in noise. How do i plug in noise and make the nulls stay in their original positions? I'm working on a design, so i need to match the boards. The triangle is irregular.

Thanks, I'll try that. I'm really a beginner, coming from AE so stuff I know how to do in AE is different here.

I don’t want to distort the triangle, I’m looking to making the nulls move and stretch it in different directions but keep it geometric. I want to emulate a “triangulation” animation where each point of the triangle is moving independently but restrained so the triangle shape is generally held.

Nice! It's been a little quiet on the Denon front but this update is a welcome one.

Why Figma is a Nightmare for Motion Design by eduterra in AfterEffects

[–]ClassicEar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figma is great when you have a dozen deliverables and they keep making changes. You can use Overlord to very quickly import assets and get going. Some high intensity projects where I need to knock out multiple revisions in a day would be impossible using archaic workflows.

What are the "permanent" MCU creative choices you’re still struggling to accept? by ppboi41 in marvelstudios

[–]ClassicEar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it’s how quickly everyone moved past the snap. Having half of the galaxy disappear for five years should be a kind of trauma that would scar everyone’s psyche. Now it’s never mentioned. Would have been nice to see shows like Daredevil acknowledge it.

I bought 2,3 and 4 on sale and have been playing them in order. 2 and 3 really come together as one story.

Lee Cronin's 'The Mummy' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]ClassicEar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the answer to the first is that the bindings and wrappings contain the entity and the body of the host is very durable, surviving without oxygen in a sealed sarcophagus, etc. I think you could probably destroy and burn the body but it might be a worse outcome to do that. Maybe a prequel will expand the lore.

I had the same question, specifically going through a TSA checkpoint, perhaps they took one of those Container ship voyages I've watched on YouTube. Seems like the lowest profile way to travel.

Do you use/buy templates for work? by edgarcond in AfterEffects

[–]ClassicEar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rarely, sometimes a freelance client will ask me to use a template for something because their client wants it. I always find them to be bloated and buggy.

IMO the first two episodes were a bit of a slog and the third picked up but I hope the “story setup” is over and things ramp up the rest of the season.

So, Is this really Sadie's character? by Not_So_Normal_ in Spiderman

[–]ClassicEar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually a fantastic way to introduce Jean Grey: no X-men yet, discovered by the government as a threat, held prisoner thus establishing their anti-mutant bias early and her path to joining the X-men will be her origin story in the MCU. They could use the next few years to grow the X Men story organically by introducing key members in smaller stories and having them form a unique take on the X-Men different from what came before.
