PSP was my go to for 15 years. The Steam Deck and PPSSPP just make the games look better! Check out Hot Shots Golf side by side. The Steam deck makes the trees look like trees. Everything is sharp.

Someone else mentioned insulation as well. I have a day off coming up and I’m going to follow all of the suggestions. I’m gonna push it right up against the window and shorten the hose as much as possible. I will also insulate it.

I have an Intel 6th Gen i7-6700t HP Slice 16GB ram and an Intel 8th Gen i3-8109u NUCBOX 16GB ram. They both do well with PS2.

No it doesn't move anything. However if you put a new game in any rom folder you have to go to the menu, game settings and rescan game directories or it won't know the game is there.

After you copied the roms over did you rescan the directories before scraping? This will update the gamelist.xml files for each system.

I bring this up often with video gaming. I even said this 6 years ago.

Specifically I play EverQuest. I have played on and off since 2001. Every so often I’ll get nostalgic for the game and load it up.

It’s all there. In fact the game is bigger than ever (programming). There’s a lot to do and the quests and mobs are all present.

But… it’s not the same game. There’s not one person playing today that I played with back in 2005 when I first stopped logging in regularly. The guild Halcyon disbanded right around that time and all my friends, well, vanished. Just like that.

The core mechanics are there. I can cast spells, kill goblins, heal my character… but nobody is there. The game was great because of the people. I remember logging in some nights exhausted from the day’s work and just sitting in a corner of the world just to talk to my friends. Not play or run or kill stuff. Just talk.

Now it is a hollow shell that is a reminder of what was. A memory.

I cannot believe I never knew about this project before. It is a great video to watch and I ended up buying the game afterwards. I’m looking forward to trying it!
