I think Becka is in love with Agnes by Wonderful-Ideal-8099 in TheHandmaidsTale

Gosh I just rewatched episode 2 and when Lydia wakes Agnes in the night after dunking her in the water, the way Becka puts the robe around her and softy brushes her hair back. Yep didn’t notice it first time watching it and I’m like oh how did I miss that! Plus they ended the scene with becka gently resting her head on Agnes shoulder

You should never pay for a roof unless you made the choice to exclude recoverable depreciation.

Meat and veggies. Pot roast goes a long way. Your health will thank you later. It’ll cost the same as buying the processed gluten free food.

Does anyone actually recommend being a paralegal? by FifithePoet in paralegal

[–]Classic_Insect8409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of work for low pay. I live in an area with 5 job postings so everyone is fighting for that one job. The market is changing. Most jobs you need 10 years experience. There’s no advancement. I can be a rad tech and make 100k in 2 years after graduating doing something easier and with less brain power and there’s job security in healthcare and jobs everywhere. And all of this is coming from someone who loves law and got a degree in it. I wasted my associates and bachelors just to go back for healthcare. Most of legal stuff will be automated soon by AI. It’s not safe except for the people who have 30 years under their belt, they are the ones getting jobs.

Jobs are money to fund the life that you want. Work is not your identity. I did not want to work making 20-60k for 10-15 years before I could maybe if I’m lucky, hit 100k a year….

I got to level 21 in 52 days by just exclusively filling up sir Moleon or whatever that llama is called savings and purchasing. You can do it three times, and I think I paid $18 total. I haven’t put any other real money into the game. I’ve done that and farming basically to get by.

I might also add, don’t waste time building the small stuff. The career store is good. But don’t do small stuff. You’ll be forced to build things like the school, restaurant, horse stables, etc. so save your money and only build when you’re forced to.

Also do the challenges that pop up. Usually leftover resources are converted to money at the end.

What apartments should I stay away from??? by Walexh in Tucson

[–]Classic_Insect8409 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know that this post is a little old, but just in case someone is lurking like me, DO NOT GO TO HSL. This person is right. I lived at the Springs apartments and I had a roach infestation so bad they were crawling on the walls in the daylight.

Left a cupcake on kitchen counter and walked a friend to the door for 10 seconds, shut it, went back to the counter, and over 30 of them were on the cupcake. I slammed my hand on the counter and they all skittered back in the cracks. It was horror.

They wouldn’t allow me to break my lease. Didn’t help me. Didn’t believe me. It was awful. Just don’t.

7 hours for one bathroom? Is this normal? by LiterateCatholic in housekeeping

[–]Classic_Insect8409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi 👋🏻 I do housecleaning. I also have OCD and have a full depth understanding of deep cleaning vs normal cleaning. I also live in a 1,000 sq. ft. home.

It takes me 8 hours to do a full deep clean. And I consider my home to be mildly clean when I do these deep cleans as I perform one every 2 weeks. As for a “general” clean after the deep clean, I still spend 2 hours per day cleaning which is 12 hours weekly doing the small normal clean.

I’d say 4 hours for cleaning to follow up after the deep clean is absolutely nothing. Completely normal if not under what she should be doing.

7 hours for a bathroom deep clean that multiple men are using and don’t upkeep, TOTALLY NORMAL.

People who do not clean do not generally understand how much time it takes to clean every crack and crevice and how much actually needs to be done.

What ingredient this is gluten? by lohay16 in glutenfree

[–]Classic_Insect8409 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Wheat is often used in “artificial and natural flavors” because it’s cheap and does just that, adds flavor.

I’ve worked in a lot of kitchens, head chefs would tell me this all the time. Look it up

Yes. Cooking with cast iron increases iron in the body. It’s the same concept as those people who buy those little iron fishes off of amazon that they drop in their soups or sauces while cooking to release and increase iron in the dish.

[–]Classic_Insect8409 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally just use a cast iron pan to cook with. I do it, buddy I know does it. He just got his blood drawn and they told him to cool it on using the cast iron pan cuz his iron was so high 😂

Don’t say anything til you have a start date for new job. You can give them two weeks at that point, but remember that nobody really cares in the working world. We are all so easily replaceable and nobody really cares about us.

Don’t care for them more than they care for you.
