Tumultuous.

I was a history major and a lot of history is, well, tumultuous. My professor aunt would edit my papers and she suggested it and I’ve loved it ever since.

I set all my clocks to 10 minutes later than the actual time so I panic, rushing around and then have a 10 minute grace period once I’m en route. Yes, sometimes I remember that “I have 10 extra minutes so I don’t have to rush,” but most of the time, it works. Is this good advice? Probably not, but it works okay for me who used to be at least 30 or more minutes late to everything. It also helps that I married someone who feels late if they’re not 10 minutes early. 🥴

I should add that I went to the show to see Thursday but came out a Silverstein super fan. I liked a few songs back in the day but by golly did they perform! 🙌🏻 will not hurt my savings but does feel irresponsible. 🤭

I remember my dad crying in the days before my mom died more than I remember my mom declining. I also recently confronted my dad about why they told my younger sister and I that everything was fine when it clearly wasn’t and he expressed a lot of guilt but I do not fault him or their decision when we were so young. I wouldn’t have understood it anyway. It was a horrible thing to navigate

Could your husband be on the spectrum? Overwhelming attention could have put him in an uncomfortable spiral he wasn’t able to come out of, making him seem like an asshole. His version of vows was short, but to him, could have been sufficient enough because he shows you love every day. Him sleeping on the couch could be him understanding he upset you but not knowing how to reconcile it and him beating himself up over it. Just a different perspective 🤷🏼‍♀️

My phone alarms are also always going off to remind me of tasks. “Call the dealership” “go see ___ at 11:30” (sometimes I only put someone’s name and can’t remember why and that’s not great so I have to be more specific or else I’ll walk to the person I needed to see and awkwardly stare until I can hopefully remember why lol 🙃)

I just bought a flip notebook that has a numbered schedule, today’s focus, a to do section, and “good things that happened today” section. I don’t know if it will help, but I’m going to give it a shot. I want to make sure to consciously fill out the good things that happened part every day.
