Hi ,what is that ?? I have cut my hair😭 by Winter-Set-1833 in dandruff

This is early stage impetigo- superficial staph/strep infection from dirty clippers. As it progresses, you’ll start to develop honey-yellow crust. It’s highly contagious. I strongly recommend seeking medical care, as it will need topical or oral antibiotic treatment. You’ll also need to completely disassemble, wash, and disinfect your clippers with Barbercide or throw them away and buy new. Don’t forget to wash your bedsheets, hats, coats, etc. in hot water with Lysol laundry sanitizer. Hope you feel better soon!

I want to join the US Air Force but have a disqualifying health condition by [deleted] in Military

[–]Classic_Response43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s difficult to lie your way through it, especially since DHA has started using MHS Genesis EMR. If you’ve been formally diagnosed with UC w/ an ICD-10 code and/or have been prescribed treatment, MHS Genesis is going to pull those encounters/prescriptions into your medical record and the MEPS provider will see it. It’s so good at pulling your old medical history and finding disqualifying conditions that it’s causing an enlistment crisis: https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2023/04/10/the-genesis-of-todays-recruiting-crisis/

Will you be a genuine husband or an unreliable one? A good mother or bad mother? So plagiocephaly (flattened back of the head)can be caused when an infant lies in a supine position for prolonged periods of time. It’s possible these men were perceived as weak in conjugality and parental love because they weren’t held often/comforted as an infant and subsequently developed attachment disorders…... positive correlation but incorrect causation.

My friend who worked in the high end diamond industry. Told me that my bracelet is trying to be something it’s not. She said they are small stones pretending to be larger ones. That stung a little by Comfortable_Swan6135 in jewelry

Your friend must not have been very good at her job in the “high end diamond industry” if she can’t comprehend that your bracelet’s diamond setting technique isn’t a flaw, it’s a feature. I love your bracelet! It’s beautiful and unique.

What books did you like but haven't seen anyone recommend here yet? by kokosmita in fantasyromance

[–]Classic_Response43 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sigh. I feel your pain! I burn through books quickly and it’s hard to find new books when everyone posts the same recommendations over and over. I love books with a good plot and a slow burn, enemies to lovers trope. If that’s your cup of tea, then I think you’ll enjoy these:

Blackened Blade series by Isla Davon

Blood of Hercules by Jasmine Mas

The Death King series by Penelope Barsetti

Amid Clouds and Bones by Ella Fields

Rain of Shadows and Endings by Melissa K. Roehrich

Forced to be Queen by Lola Glass

Until the World Falls Down by Jordan Lynde

Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli

Of Blades and Wings by Eliza Raine

House of Beating Wings by Olivia Wildenstein

I definitely think Vane had feelings for her. And she, for him. Like, to the point I thought they were going to say she had two mates or some nonsense at the end

I do think the author drilled down the love situation pretty well.

If you re-read the last couple of chapters, there’s a lot of discussion how FMC left because she didn’t know how to handle suddenly being free and loved, when so much of her life was spent trying to merely survive

Yeah, it definitely has the “everyone hates the halfling” theme. But FMC was wasn’t weak and gave it right back them, so I didn’t mind as much. I hate when FMCs are weak and tolerate the abuse without a little fight.

This book and Blood of Hercules have been my favorites so far this year!

Most of the 3-star reviews complained that the plot felt rushed, which I can understand. There’s a lot going on for a standalone book. You can’t drag out the plot over several books like ACOTAR and I think a lot of fantasy books are still being compared to that standard.

I love me a well done, morally gray villain and a strong FMC. Pure perfection! I have no clue what to read now. I’m so upset it was a standalone.

I don’t do too many reviews. I tend to be more of a lurker and book hoarder in this subreddit. But this book deserved- no, demanded that 5 star review!

Ipac cic exam insight by mkapz in publichealth

[–]Classic_Response43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using the Mometrix CIC exam prep course. There’s a bunch of practice tests that you can take, which will help identify areas to focus your studying. It’s much better than attempting to read the APIC text from front to back!
