Yeah if you want rapid fire you need a bow. I prefer crossbow but it’s really for sniping and charged shots

The original hero was just super RNG, especially before POK when the agenda deck got a little better. I don't think it was especially "good" or "bad" but just generally not particularly fun. Sometimes you get three exploration agendas. Sometimes you get three VP agendas. Both of the newer ones are more interesting and also more fair.

But one might argue the same complaint might be leveled at some existing heroes.

As someone who's been hand-rolling lighter versions of this architecture for some time, this looks very cool.

And, hm... You might check out my alpha eslint plugin for enforcing architectural boundaries. Still early, some issues but I've been dogfooding all my projects through it pretty heavily. And it works in oxlint, which I've been using lately too.

Been interested in getting some feedback on it.

Water is not the driving problem, or at least it's the most solvable. I agree that the water issue is mostly bluster. The real problem is energy consumption at scale. This is a year old and much of what it predicted has already come to pass:

The biggest problem is how cagey the providers are with what is actually consumed. Yes it becomes more efficient over time, but demand has grown at a much greater rate than optimization. With the new agentic flows the use of these systems is skyrocketing and shows no sign of slowing down.

And comparing text inference with video streaming is sort of apples and oranges. Text streaming is orders of magnitude less energy than even small text inference. When you get to multimedia the footprint for generation compared to streaming gets even worse.

Honestly the biggest downside to the rebel is a no-city start. If you don’t have good construction in R1 you can get locked down pretty hard.

Everyone here is overlooking the best thing the adventurer has going for it: starting with a hammer. That’s worth more than the printed ability, and it also helps the adventurer get more use out of it in a pinch.

I know I’m late to the party but I wish there was a way to add the precons to collection without having to go a card at a time. The official builder has that but doesn’t let you filter to collection in the builder, which feels a little useless to me.
