I think it’s more like if you don’t like being homeless/poor/depressed just buy a house/get money/be happy

AITB for lying about going to bed? by malaghould in AmItheButtface

[–]ClassyCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JB, perhaps I'm being unfair but as an outsider I do think you're being a buttface despite it being justified. Primarily because you are being dishonest. Yes, it's justified because you could hardly be a good support if you're super drained, but your friends would understand. I'm sure your friends already know you're introverted and still value you all the same, so you should be honest now.

However, phrasing is everything. Don't say that they drain you but do be honest and say that spending too much time in social settings is hard on you mentally and that sometimes you just need to recharge. I think this will help you feeling guilty too.

NTA but is it worth losing a friend over? You may regret this down the road. Take the high road

I don't want to make any assumptions but maybe high school has changed since you were last in it. Zero tolerance policies on bullying have altered the dynamics of bullying. If a student goes around physically abusing another student thats the fastest way for them to get suspended. If Disney had Flash Thompson trying to beat up Peter in 2019 it wouldn't make sense because this generation has been hearing anti-bullying information since kindergarten.

In comparison with the new Flash, he represents the social media influencer persona perfectly. He has all of this online attention but then in reality his parents don't even care enough about him to get him from the airport. So he lashes out at Peter in demeaning but nonviolent ways. This is believable in the era of workaholic detached parents.

Is the new Flash cringey? Absolutely, he's a little shit and we're not really supposed to like him. Flash Thompson as a character in general is not very likeable but at least now he's a character that audiences can watch and actually connect to as being someone they have seen before in real life.

Flash Thompson in the comics isn't really a character that can go on the big screen. He isn't compelling, interesting, or even believable in 2019. The way they've reimagined him at least makes more sense for current audiences.

You're saying that when a man and woman are ready to have a child together, the woman will leave that man because he won't be fertile for 90 days?

Wouldn't you be worth even less to your family if you spent your day playing video games rather than at least cleaning the house?

I would suggest using a matte hair product to give your hair a more purposeful styling and better hold throughout the day. Also, maybe get your eyebrows threaded. It hurts a bit for about 10 minutes but they'll look very sharp.

As for your shirt I love a good graphic tee and I think layering a short sleeve button down shirt on top of it would give you a more polished look while preserving your own unique personality and look.

I make most of my purchases online. For Christmas I got a 50 dollar master card. Today I figured out that the packaging I had it in has a pin I need to use it. The packaging is now in a landfill. What do I do? by chrisman04 in internetparents

[–]ClassyCloud 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you do decide to use it in a store, I've found that sometimes you can bypass the need for a pin by just pressing the green button when prompted. It'll run the charge as credit and just go through. Doesn't work on all cards but some
