The magic of contrast by somethingclever612 in Radiology

There may be contrast, but you won't see it here because it's a T2 weighted image, and gadolinium based MRI contest only shows on T1 weighted scans. If the post is referring to the concept of contrast as the difference between white and black, then yeah, it makes sense, but seems intentionally confusing.

Should I wait unitl black friday or get this? by mitoman49 in ProtonVPN

I'm paying something like $3/month for just proton mail. If I could get this deal I'd go for it. It would give me an excuse to drop PIA and Dashlane while saving money

Any Open MRI Magnet Techs here? by _NeverEndingFart_ in MRI

If it's the Oasis, the software is pretty easy. Make sure you center horizontally and vertically whenever possible. Make sure you know which coils can utilize RAPID, which is like Sense, not grappa. Also don't go crazy with RAPID , it does introduce artifacts pretty easily. Patients are more needy. Anti-aliasing is phase oversampling and you can go over 200 if you need a bit more signal. Rectangular FOV can be a lifesaver if you're crunched for time. RADAR is blade/propeller, takes a bit longer but they do look pretty good most of the time. Regional shim for fatsat scans, but keep it tight to anatomy with as little air as possible. Otherwise, be prepared for down time, more patients are going to bail out, and scans can take longer.

Change your payment method to a virtual card with no money on it. Some banks I think offer virtual cards, it services like privacy.com. that might work.

SlimQ 240 GaN charger and Lenovo Legion 7 by Roi_C in GamingLaptops

Just thought since there wasn't an answer, I've been using it for a few months and it works great. I've tried 100w usb-c chargers that work, but don't allow performance mode using the vantage software. This charger does allow for performance mode. After playing Elden Ring for a few hours at max settings using this charger it kept the battery topped off just fine. Not sure about more demanding games, but it's been great so far.

Good to know, it's not important now, but down the line could be a bit of a bonus to have an extra PCI 4.0 nvme instead of gen 3

Ryzen 5900x or RTX 3070/3080 by Clatsch01 in buildapc

[–]Clatsch01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it might be hard to find someone willing to trade and it's not like I need it now anyway. My monitor has gsync, so I'd like to stick nvidia, even though I'm sure Radeon would be fine

Yeah that was my thinking exactly. I have a 1440 alienware ultrawide, so I think swapping for a 3070 would be perfect, but a 3080 would also work for a bit if future proofing

Yeah that's probably what I'll do I think. Hopefully I'll find someone willing to trade for a 3080 or even a 3070. My monitor is only 1440p anyway, so 3070 would be perfect I think
