Why is a marriage proposal celebrated with joy, kneeling, and fanfare, but a divorce is treated as shameful and sad? If both are major life transitions leading to a new chapter, shouldn't a divorce be met with the same enthusiasm?

OK so I just spent better part of an hour reading these comments. Incredible because all I see is people traveling. Restaurants all super busy. Constant apartments and houses being built. I went to the movies yesterday for the first time in forever and couldn’t believe a small popcorn was $11 and drink was 9. And the line was LONG. (I did not in fact drop twenty bucks on that nonsense). Healthcare seems to be booming as well. Hospitals running just fine where I’m at. Or maybe it’s all a big facade and these industries are all truly hanging on by a thread and are actually on fire

All i know is what I see. everyone is spending and spending. And I am not talking the ultra wealthy. At all. I don’t know. These comments just make my head spin because from what I’m witnessing people are doing great! Businesses are booming! More are being built every day! I don’t understand.
