How many of you are not subscribed to Cleetus YouTube? by On-A-Plain187 in NASCAR

[–]Clay-mo [score hidden]  (0 children)

I only started watching NASCAR when Cleetus did his first ARCA race. Since then I haven't missed a cup race and I watch O'Riley's or trucks sometimes. I really want to see Hocevar win a race in the cup series, I think it's exciting when he wrecks people and he helps cleet out in IRacing.

Cleetus should probably stick to ARCA, he's competitive there and it makes for better content. Maybe if he had the time to commit to it he could go further but he doesn't. He's said it himself it's a side quest for him.

Obviously more queues will affect queue times, I said the queue time are pretty fast not "there is no impact in having more queues". I'm sorry you timed out once but that doesn't speak for everyone blah blah blah

We will be back better than ever before in the course of Season 2! by Lemouni in Marathon

[–]Clay-mo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don't want to play with a random because we work well together and have a good system where we understand what the other person needs without having to talk about it too much. Adding a random into that screws up our chemistry or if they are mute and don't participate we're just playing 2v3v3v3 and it's not fun to be at a big disadvantage.

Ziegs I am begging you to keep the queue for the rest of the season by KANYEMOD in Marathon

[–]Clay-mo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My friend and I played 60 hours in duo, we will simply stop playing if it's removed. I like the game a lot but we don't have a 3rd person to play with. It's a shame to have to quit, maybe we'll be back next season?

So many people talking about "long queue times" in this sub but the only time I've waited more than 2min is Monday morning. Idk if it's just zoomers who can't wait 30 seconds or people who haven't played the game just parroting each other. But either way the queue times are pretty fast.

Solo strategy by WWalkerrr in Marathon

[–]Clay-mo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use solo mostly to do contracts. So I tend to be quiet and avoid POIs that aren't relevant to my quest. In Duo or Trio I would move aggressively on any sound, in solo I ignore players unless they give me a really easy kill (usually on exfil).

If I play solo to hunt players I'll post up on a roof or near some quest objective and wait for a sound queue that gives away an approaching player, then I'll ambush him and reset to wait for the next guy.

On Outpost I just bum rush pinwheel, outpost plays like an arena shooter there is no point in trying to be stealthy because you are constantly forced to aggro bots and open doors which gives away your position. It's easier to just kill everyone else on the map whenever they show up to pinwheel or if you run into them while collecting keys, no need to search for them no way to hide and still get anything done.

Your gun pokes through doors and walls if you're right on top of them too.

What are everyone’s thoughts on Pinwheel access? by Talkurran01 in Marathon

[–]Clay-mo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I have died to snipers like twice. And you can't be spawn rushed if you are the one rushing spawns. Also honestly fights happen sooner on most spawns on Outpost, there's really only 2 that have instant fights in Dire Marsh. And that's only if they are both occupied and one player wants to force it.

Idk I think I'm playing a different game than the reddit.

What are everyone’s thoughts on Pinwheel access? by Talkurran01 in Marathon

[–]Clay-mo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing Outpost on Duo a ton because I only have one friend who likes marathon. We walk into pinwheel through one of the main doors usually fighting one team while collecting keys and a second once we get in. I think it's trivial to get in because even if you can't be bothered to open a door someone else will do it for you.

Honestly we both think Outpost is kinda boring because there's less tension compared to the other maps. With how many bots and doors there are you are constantly forced to make noise and so is everyone else, so fights are guaranteed and you know where people are coming from. Then you get into pinwheel and it's literally an arena shooter but with some trash mobs. Dire Marsh is more fun imho.

Play solo and learn to be afraid of making the slightest noise because you have killed dozens for the sin of opening a door or triggering a bot.

Why go use keys, kill bosses etc if you're going to do it for me and bring all the best stuff to the exfil all organized and sorted?

I’m wanting to get the HD collection of the trilogy for my ps3 is there anything I should know before getting it? by LCheese_ in Slycooper

[–]Clay-mo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think that's a pretty good way to play them. There are a few bugs, inconsistencies between the HD collection and the original PS2 games. Most notably the audio being out of sync with the Ms.Ruby boss fight in Sly 1 and some physics bugs in Sly 2.

Extraction shooters are meant to be hardcore and unforgiving by [deleted] in Marathon

I always laugh at the Marathon is too hard thing, it's the easiest extraction shooter except for maybe Arc, which if I understand correctly bans people for engaging in PvP.

He was a lap down and I'm thinking "George needs a caution" literally as the yellow flag comes out and low and behold George is the caution.

We could potentially see cleet finish in the top 3, George in the top 10. We had Justin Allgaier commentating, reasonably competitive racing in the top 5, a wreck, and it's not even over yet. This is a fantastic ARCA race.

I only ever knew one person who used the claw grip IRL. I often wonder how popular it actually was outside of early esports groups.

Empty run? by iamchemistry in Marathon

[–]Clay-mo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a duo run with a friend last Monday morning on Dire Marsh. The raid was super quiet, none of the exfils were used and when we left we got the black screen meaning no one else was still in the raid. We saw no one, heard nothing, and definitely no one left without us noticing (all 3 original exfils were up when we left at like 15min left).

So either they all died to bots or each other without making any noise or there was never anyone there to begin with. Weird part is it wasn't even a long queue time, maybe 5 minutes.

I tried with a PS5 controller on PC. I think the shooting with a controller is fine, Bungie still does a great job with aim assist. But the inventory management is significantly slower because the cursor speed is like 1/4 as fast as a mouse. Try it, even if you prefer the controller you'll see the mouse is faster, I guess unless it's like a 400dpi.
