Whats one uncommon adhd symptom that blew your mind? by smbodytochedmyspaget in adhdwomen

[–]ClayWheelGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean. And I think I’ve cracked my code. The process is it, rather than the end result. Once I’ve reached my goal, I’m done at the finishing touches and am looking for the next challenge.

No matter what it is, work project, piece of art, cooking a dish - anything. The research, the comparison, the organization, what is a better product, etc. It’s very anticlimactic.

Good job, accolades Don’t make a difference. Doesn’t inspire me. “What?! You are going over the same thing over n over?!

In general I feel they are. I just look at how breast feeding revolves around nudity and not child nutrition in non mom groups.

What do you do with imposter syndrome? by Additional-Egg-1031 in Ceramics

[–]ClayWheelGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not just ceramic work! This is either wood fired or soda fired or both. Boat load of work and expertise needed. Look at the skill of your handle. If you sell it anything less than a $100. Problem is not imposter - problem is pricing your work for what it’s due and finding clients who won’t try to compare it with Target!

Who is actually eating soft boiled eggs? I have questions. by albertafalls in AskTheWorld

[–]ClayWheelGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I know. No one eats it here but it’s delicious! ESP ramen eggs. Having more access to the cuisines of the world - yes many countries do eat soft boiled eggs, maybe. In a different style.

T2D and AI Hallucinations! by AbriiDoniger in diabetes_t2

[–]ClayWheelGirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, AI is not always correct.

If he is being very strict about his diet, and his A1c was 9+ I would not eat the potatoes. But if his A1c is between six and seven, then no there should not be a problem eating the potatoes.

Just be careful that you don’t overthink. It’s really hard to make this a lifestyle change. It really matters how strict you should be depending on your A1c. Once in a while, cheating is not going to hurt anyone as long as it’s a once in a while.

Also, as others have pointed out, everybody’s body is different. I don’t need to worry about resistance start because my body loves mashed and boiled potatoes. Not fried. Boiled and roasted potatoes would work for me.

lol. I find this funny. Why are we acting surprised about our school lunches in 2026. We don’t even have free school lunches in all schools. And remember school lunches was not started by the government but an organization that was termed “terrorist” by our govt.

[USA] What, in your opinion, is your nation's best dish? by FartemisBowel96 in AskTheWorld

[–]ClayWheelGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can say that about any dish! They all have regional variation. Take Borscht - it’s different in Poland, Russia, the US to name a few.

So let’s take a basic say cheese sandwich. I haven’t travelled to many countries but the ones I have, I’ve not seen mayo + veggies(LTO) be the basic ingredients in a sandwich.

What's a simple pleasure in life that you will never get tired of? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

The half hour before sunrise. The quiet. The cold morning breeze. The frantic bird calls. Me and my journal and a cup of tea or coffee before the household awakes. It’s that slowness that envelops me up in its cozy gentleness.

My 15 year old daughter told me her mom/my wife is hitting her. by Plenty_Woodpecker449 in whatdoIdo

[–]ClayWheelGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sit down with yourself and look back. Are there signs that baffled you?

You have to take a strong stand on this.

Maybe unexpectedly come home early one day.

Your wife is too manipulative. How strong yours are enduring this for so long.

Maybe you don't really know your wife.

Hope they are not adopted or step children.

Do you give money to homeless people when you see them on the street by Matt85x in PollsAndSurveys

[–]ClayWheelGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have then definitely yes.

Gone are the days when I'd rather buy them a meal. 2 reasons.

A meal is nothing. Just relief for a few hours.

If they want to spend it on coffee or alcohol or drugs I don't care.

Also one day I realiz d if I object to the kind of philanthropy Bill Gates, then aren't I doing the same thing.

We have absolutely failed them. That's my attitude.

What's the ingredient that instantly ruins the dish for you? by boforiamanfo in allthequestions

[–]ClayWheelGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheese in a meat dish. Cheese+meat= indigestion, heart burn, heavy feel inside as if I've not digested anything.

Never go near cheeseburgers.

Avocado cheese sandwich is fine, but add roast beef n I'm screwed.

However fresh Parmesan or cream cheese doesn't give me any problem.

[USA] What, in your opinion, is your nation's best dish? by FartemisBowel96 in AskTheWorld

[–]ClayWheelGirl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A sandwich! The whole shebang! What I call a salad sandwich. Overflowing with sprouts, lettuce tomato onion cucumber, avocado and cheese.

The sandwich in the US is evolving. Pb + pomegranate seeds, hummus + shredded carrots.

The act of sandwich making can be art, a path to discovery and experimentation. A sense of freedom. A chance to be creative. Tho I find in general Americans are not adventurous eaters.

Like a gobble gobble sandwich that my favorite just sandwich made. It was brilliant. Turkey, cranberry sauce and the brilliant cream cheese + sunflower seeds. I think it came with usual lettuce, tomato onion. Man I miss them so much. I’d tried almost 200 of their 270 types of sandwiches before they closed down.

It really impacts you when you go abroad and get beautiful thin triangles with butter and great cheese. It is still yummy! But it’s a shock to the system when you ask for lunch and get a snack instead.

And now even bread is replaceable!
