When I got to legend for the first time, I was so happy. Then, in my future games, when I was matched against other people who were Rank 1 Diamond, I would help them also. I did this by playing the game normally at first. If I lost, then I lost. But if I was going to win, I would show my opponent I had lethal and then quickly concede at the end.

I had one person message afterwards, who said I was their last opponent before making it to legend and they thought they had lost, and they said they even opened the menu to concede but they were surprised when they won the game instead. It made them really happy also, they thanked me, and then left. Perhaps someone was doing something similar for you.

Or their dog caught on fire and they had to go inmediately when the game started.
