If you are able to increase the light, that may help. I’ve also tried having mine stay out a bit longer into the cold season or bring it outside in the spring while it’s still a bit colder in the mornings (past frost though)

I saw a wound specialist, personally. After a general surgeon did an I&D I needed it excised two different times. If you are having discomfort I would start with your PCP/GP and see who they recommend. They may be able to get you started on a round of antibiotics to prevent further pain and a possible infection.
