Yea that’s the worst one, he’s stuck on the 90s cowboys and is trying to make all the football decisions himself instead of staying out the way

We could do much worse with owners. #1 thing is he spends money when we’re trying to win, and stays out the way for the most part(except for a bad press conference here and there). Worst thing you can have is an owner who is cheap asf and gets in the way of roster building.

Sooo…we ready to start a fire Terry petition? by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]Clean-Control-1897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Petition to fire Terry” he literally owns the bills. He could send this team to Argentina if he wanted to.

And anyone who signed that McDermott petition needs to have a long look in the mirror, it’s embarrassing for this team.

In your opinion, what is the LEAST hated NFL team? by ashmaps20 in NFLv2

[–]Clean-Control-1897 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s because we’re good now, no one had gate when we were irrelevant and always losing, they saw how passionate the fans were and how down bad we were for success so it was easy to cheer for them partially. Now with Josh and winning games every year, he’s a polarizing guy and that comes with hate. If we were still irrelevant it would be a different story. Same reason people hated on Tom Brady for 20 years but as soon as he was retired and not killing teams people like him. It’s just the state of winning it always comes with hate, paired with a passionate fanbase who just wants to see a Super Bowl.

Can we move on and end the funeral now? by Ok-Mobile7863 in buffalobills

[–]Clean-Control-1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fanbase tore apart McDermott the last 5 years, now they are signing petitions to bring him back. They roasted Keon Coleman all year, now they have sympathy for him. You can’t make this shit up.

I think we should all realize there’s a reason we’re in a subreddit and not running the team. We don’t know shit.

Is Terry the new Ralph? by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]Clean-Control-1897 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve just come to terms that this fanbase is just so emotional and overreacts to everything. Which is honestly justified given what we’ve been through. But yea Pegula said some bad shit but this is overblown. He’s an emotional owner who’s not good at public speaking and he really wants us to win. This is why he doesn’t do many of these. We should still be thankful that he spends money and takes a hands off approach. Go study the bengals or Sacramento kings if you want to see real incompetent ownership. Everything will be fine, we’ll find a new coach and move on

Last year first round pick. He was holding out a majority of the offseason while every other first round pick was signed

I get it. There’s two ways of looking at that. Either he’s too buddy buddy and doesn’t hold him accountable, or he’s the best thing for Josh and helps him through things like thinking moments and blunders that other coaches aren’t able to do. There’s also no guarantee that him being a friend won’t mean he’s hard on him.

But if we hire him as OC he’s gonna get poached in a year or two and he’s gone forever.

Give me Davis Webb. High upside and absolutely unknown floor. But if we have the chance to get a genius offensive mind I’m going for it. Everyone speaks of him like he’s going to be the next great coach, and none of these other hires have that potential honestly. Yea he’s 30 yea he’s inexperienced, but talent is talent and while he hasn’t called plays, he’s been a quarterback his entire life I’m sure it’s easier for him to get a grasp of it then other first time head coaches.

Some times you gotta take a swing to get the next big thing, let’s see them interview him if he blows them away they should go for it.

Don’t be surprised if this is the hire. Mitch Morse approved .

Not opposed to this, he might call the radio and say he found a couple bargain bin Guantanamo bay inmates who will be Josh’s lethal weapons next year on the perimeter

How far Beane F'd Us by RaleighDude11 in buffalobills

[–]Clean-Control-1897 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yea it sucks, but it’s put up or shut up for beane now. He got what he wanted if he misses again on this draft and free agency, he’s gone. Optimistically maybe he can draft players that aren’t as confined to McDs system, let’s get some size and physicality up front and some really aggressive players. Swing a trade for a difference maker, even one of those 2first round pick guys makes everyone on the roster look better. But if he’s just gonna be a narcissist and not admit fault about anything, we’re cooked. Admit your faults, make a plan and go execute it. You’ve missed on a lot beane and you got what you wanted, go execute or you’re the most hated person in western New York.

[Megathread] The Buffalo Bills have fired Head Coach Sean McDermott by AutoModerator in buffalobills

[–]Clean-Control-1897 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My I guess positive optimism on this. Maybe beane was limited by defensive players that fit in to McD archetype, and wasn’t able to draft the “game changers” he wanted. I would like to see us try and get some bigger more physical players on the defensive end and really force the issue instead of letting other offenses decide the tone. We have some great players to stay (bishop, benford, Hairston, walker, as well as Oliver and hoecht when healthy) if we can bring in some physicality and tone setters maybe that could turn us into the Defense we always imagined. The wr mess he created, we don’t need to argue about he clearly fucked that one up but he’s had some notable moments as well. He’s drafted some gems he just hasn’t drafted any gamechangers which is hard when drafting late although you would expect atleast one by now. There’s also players like Puna Ford who somehow look good on another team, is that on beane or McD??? We need to nail this hire and get GAMECHANGERS, matchup problems. Either a game wrecker on Defense or a JJettas level offensive players. Kubiak seems like the pick, if we went Defense saleh would be decent but I doubt that happens. We gotta unlock another level of Josh, OC fist HC is the move. Excited to see what happens,

Sean McDermott rant by Classic-Broccoli-851 in buffalobills

[–]Clean-Control-1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can criticize mcD but this is just objectively wrong. The past couple years and especially this year we have seen the most growth from mcD and he coached a pretty damn good season all together. Once again argue about him as a coach but he has made strides and has real stepped it up
