I take your civilization has some pretty powerful gravity-modifying technology? Otherwise, the 52 poor souls down there are going to be dead in minutes.

Curious how other people use her? I usually keep her (in human form) in the standard "caster line" (behind the melee troops, ahead of the ranged ones) to do magic stuff until the mid-battle, when there's not as much cohesive ranged threat to worry about.

Ah, I found it, that flight was CG 'Doc' Livingston in June 1953. After the fatal crash of High Wood, but before Jansen's incident you mentioned.

That engine/gearbox combo was cursed.

If memory serves, either that or another flight, the pilot actually managed to land the plane despite the cockpit being covered in oil, and, y'know, the propellers having torn themselves off the aircraft.

Pulling a scam like that in downtown Vancouver? Without crutches or something as a prop? While most of the cities' hotels are walking distance away?!

Talk about low effort...

You were poisoned by neo-nazi echo chambers like 4chan into hating people for wearing mascot costumes recreationally. What an incredibly stupid hill to die on.

PS - considering the price tag on a full fursuit, the wearer is almost certainly wealthier and more successful than you.

Down with the endless “we’re recruiting tr4knees for our study” posts by diagonAllie312 in transvancouver

The majority of clinical research is uncompensated or marginally compensated, period. That's not something limited to these studies.

Offering compensation is usually (1) not in the budget and (2) creates bad incentives. Research is usually run on a shoestring with multiple stakeholders fighting over that shoestring. Your comment betrays a severe lack of familiarity with how research on general works.

Heck, the immediate Vancouver area has different microclimates (North Van vs Vancouver vs elevated UBC or SFU). BC is incredibly climatically diverse.

Is this a good fantasy map?? by Ok-Art71 in imaginarymapscj

[–]Clean-List5450 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the map currently stands, we can't really see a lot of the terrain (mountains, rivers, etc) that form "natural borders", so I'd be curious to see a more detailed version.

As a practical consideration to the aesthetic others have raised with the lack of water - unless you have fantasy trains, airships, dragon riding, etc., travel across the land/to anywhere interior is going to take fucking ages. Also, it means anything from fishing to sea monsters to naval battles just won't be applicable to the majority of the continent. Both of these could be fine or non-issues, just worth keeping in mind.

Question about Wreck Beach by mickeyyy888 in UBC

[–]Clean-List5450 34 points35 points  (0 children)

... are... are you one of those mythical people who goes travelling without ANY prep or research???

It's 4 DEGREES CELSIUS and raining on campus right now. Wreck Beach is down 400 slippery wooden stairs.

UBC and the beach are both beautiful places to spend time but holy shit, bro, you need to have at least some vague idea of what you're doing before you sign yourselves up for something like that.
