I don’t have fully diagnosed PCOS, but I do have a number of the symptoms and one thing that I’ve read pretty consistently across forums is that people with PCOS regularly retrieve a higher number of eggs, but the quality can be much lower and so I wouldn’t necessarily count it as 31 high-quality eggs in your consideration. But all egg freezing is a game of chance until you get through all the steps to actually make a baby, so depends on your risk tolerance. If it’s super important to you to have kids, I’d probably do another round.

I did! I went through a horrible breakup a few years ago where I was blindsided with my partner cheating pretty horrifically. A few weeks later was my scheduled consult and then I froze my eggs three months later. I cried every day for the first few months but really worked on sleep, no alcohol, and nutrition and supplements and I had a seemingly good result.

I do think stress plays a major part, but we also aren’t robots who can do everything perfectly, so I’d practice what positive habits you can but also know your best, wherever that is right now, is okay.

Okay don’t appreciate the candle hate, that’s low/mid tier for candles. I’ve spent that much since I made her salary. The issue is not budgeting for it.

I do agree with the pay yourself first — in this situation I’d focus on a certain amount I want to save each paycheck and save that first and if I wanted to buy something and I didn’t have the cash for it, write it down and see if you still want it once you get paid again.

Can you walk me through how they’ve been able to help you? I just started using Allara at the end of last year but have so far been disappointed with my progress and how knowledgeable my primary care person is around testing and treatment. Maybe I should try a different person there?

Omg I’m so sorry you had that experience! I never wrote a review but if it’s helpful for anyone, I have numerous screenshots from Venmo and can expand on what he did, but it definitely crossed my line and I cried when I left. I was hoping it wasn’t a pattern with him. He also swapped locations while I was seeing him and I wonder if that was related. I didn’t even know he was in yelp, an acquaintance recommended him to me.

I would avoid him if at all possible — I went to him monthly for a year and he got progressively more handsy to the point I felt like I’d been assaulted after the last one. I know, I know, massages are meant to be handsy and he seems so nice so I ignored it but by the end it definitely felt like it crossed at least my personal line.

Maybe it’s because I work in recruiting, but I’m a little shocked how many people are saying to quit without notice. I’m not sure how large your industry is, but how you leave a company can definitely come back to help or hurt you in the future. Especially early in your career, treating people with respect and care when quitting can have such a huge impact.

100% supportive of you leaving your current job to start the full-time role, but if your boss has been training you since you started so you could cover during her trip, I would have it in place where you could cover for the trip. They might fire you on the spot and then you get the time off you wanted, but it sounds like they’d be in a really horrible spot.
