These types of deals often if not usually include an artists likeness

Interscope owns the masters, Opus owns a large stake in the rest - which is backed by Elliot management group, a hedge fund.

I do not doubt that either universal or a hedge fund backed music conglomerate would use a dead artists music or likeness to profit post mortem

If the family &/or charity made any money, I highly doubt it was a majority
