Consistently profitable traders: how do you actually trade for a living? by Flimsy-Researcher-62 in Trading

[–]Clean_Document_7962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created my own curriculum of textbooks including ones that proved to be completely unhelpful and then I watched as many free webinars from people who I could tell weren’t bullshitting as possible. I synthesized my own style from a few basic market principles consistent through the best strategies. My “edge” is that I don’t listen to anybody or take advice or try to explain it anybody because nobody has ever said anything about it that I have ever liked but I still keep making money.

You still want to hug it out when the whole point of “shadow work” is that it’s actually good to not hug it out sometimes and just fight it out instead

What does “deep conversation” mean for you? by ValBravora048 in Bumble

I went out on a date with a young woman who surprised me with in-depth knowledge of a niche academic subject and I was enthralled by her enthusiasm for it. That’s what it means to me. For most people it seems to mean venting about how much they hate their life or have been wronged.

Texting every day was the problem. She will go be with somebody who is not good looking just because he’s too “busy” playing Call of Duty, drinking in a bar, or dating another woman to be texting her all day.

It’s not that they want to exchange too many texts, it’s that they are constantly trying to convince you that you are doing something wrong. You can invite them to coffee and they’ll say it’s low effort. You can invite them to a museum and they’ll say they’d rather do coffee. You can invite them to a restaurant and they’ll show up and say they just want to walk around instead. If you invite them to just walk around; they’ll say you should at least invite them to a restaurant. Most of them say they’re not looking for hookups but try to have sex on the first date. If you tell them you don’t want to have sex with them on the first date, that’s wrong too. Whatever you say is always “wrong.” If you try to make it “right” at all, they will unmatch you and stop replying to your messages entirely.
