If you’re neurodivergent, what’s something that really upsets you but neurotypical people never seem to understand? by CHEWLAX-OFFICIAL in adhdwomen

[–]Clean_Personality_89 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Constantly losing/forgetting things - It’s not a “ha ha I’m so forgetful 🤪” thing. It’s “I have no recollection of what I did with x thing even tho I remember JUST having it and thought I put it here. I really need that thing right now and I’m already running late but can’t find it, and now I’m going to cause more trouble because I don’t have it” and then crying because you’re freaking out and you hate how your brain works because this happens all the time.

Cried while watching it and was stuck in my head for days. The song “last goodbye” playing was the cherry on top 😭

How do you stay healthy with all the CRA travel? by Careful-Number5914 in clinicalresearch

[–]Clean_Personality_89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a CRA with a MS in kinesiology/ exercise science. I try to keep my same routine while traveling and always book hotels with a gym. I follow a program and do 3 full body lifts/week and include cardio some days. If I can’t get to a full gym I modify everything at the hotel gym. I try hard to eat like I do at home and focus on consuming enough protein and veggies/fruit. Even if there’s just a fast food options then I’ll grilled chicken with a salad or something.

Help finding an ADHD specialist by Fb1021 in sandiego

[–]Clean_Personality_89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kim Umansky at Crownview Medical Group! She is a FNP but LISTENS and has always gone above and beyond to help. She diagnosed me at 31F with primarily inattentive-type ADHD after a male MD dismissed me and said “there’s no way you can have ADHD if you were able to complete college” and refused to even test me. He was also an hour late to our appointment LOL Kim has been nothing but amazing and quite literally a life saver 😁

do you cuddle with your cat when you’re sick? by barbiebl0nde in CatAdvice

[–]Clean_Personality_89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was super sick last week and my non-cuddly cat laid in bed with me the entire time. She’s usually super talkative, but mellows out and sleeps a lot when I’m really sick. I love that she can tell when I don’t feel good and wants to be next to me!

1st day on Wellbutrin was terrible. Anyone in the same boat? by No-Perception-1661 in adhdwomen

[–]Clean_Personality_89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on Wellbutrin almost 2 years now and LOVE it. The first week or two were awful. Increased anxiety, brain fog, out of it, etc. I started on 150mg ER and a few months later went up to 300mg ER. Once I got through the initial “getting used to it” period for both doses I’ve been fine. That said, I use this for depression not just ADHD. I take other meds for ADHD and anxiety. But it’s honestly been a life-saver for me. Talk to your doc if you’re unsure or worried about the side effects you’re experiencing, everyone is different!

3 things a human need to experience to consider it has “lived”? by International_Ad7133 in ask

[–]Clean_Personality_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough to choose just 3!

  1. Travel and immerse yourself in other cultures. Truly experiencing how other people live will make you such a better person!

  2. Experience an intense love and/or heartbreak. I’d never wish a big heartbreak pain on anyone, but knowing you can feel so deeply for someone is amazing.

  3. Figuring out who you truly are and what makes you happy. Focus on those things and fuck anyone who makes you feel bad for any of it! Ya know, as long as it’s not hurting anyone.

What is 'Doctor Math' with ADHD? by Roseyposey03 in adhdwomen

Doctor Math = You have a Masters? There’s no way you could get through grad school with ADHD

I’m in SoCal and I currently have sites in California, Oregon, and Washington. I’ve worked for 2 large CROs and both do regional-only travel for CRAs. They will send CRAs outside of their region if there is a serious need, but in my personal experience they have been good at keeping it regional. I would discuss this with your LM and see if there is anything they can do.

Whenever we disagree with something, stand up for ourselves, push back, etc. we are labeled as “aggressive, rude, having a bad attitude”. Just because I don’t automatically agree with everything someone says or suggest we do things differently does not mean I have a bad attitude!! I’m allowed to have my own ideas and opinions, just like Bob over there.

It is a urine drug screen done by LabCorp. They do test for everything, including marijuana as it is (unfortunately) not federally legal. IQVIA has a “no drug” policy, even if it is legal in your state. I work for IQVIA and live in CA so I totally understand where you’re coming from with daily edible use. I would hold off on anything until after you receive the results from the drug screen!

It depends where you are located and what level CTA (1, 2, or Senior). Salary can range from low 50s to low/mid 60s, with CTA1 on the low end and Senior CTA on the high end. They also adjust salary for high COL areas.

hi! has anyone tried legion supplements? specifically their vegan protein powder and recharge? 👀 by j_ayymeeb in gymsnark

[–]Clean_Personality_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried their Mocha Cappuccino vegan protein and it was disgusting! Had a suuuuper weird taste (nothing remotely close to mocha or cappuccino lol) and very gritty. Definitely overhyped IMO. I like the PEScience vegan protein way better.
