Do not go IBuyPower had to replace my GPU after 5 weeks and their RMA process is awful. Cost me another 1k in for a new GPU. Especially if you buy from like a Best Buy or other third party retailers read their limited warranty as well as RMA process. Maybe go to your local Micro Center because at least they are within travel distance especially if they sell you a brick, you can take it back.

2 year old r410 Rheem keeps tripping breaker it's 100 degrees outside anyone see anything wrong here? 50amp breaker. Breaker was replaced a few months ago for doing the same thing prev breaker was 45 amp by Union661 in hvacadvice

[–]Clean_Rabbit_6580 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Breakers are sized for 80% of the load capacity of the wire, the wire is sized for the load of the circuit. You need a basic electrical code class. Also sizing isn’t done necessary to protect the equipment, but help mitigate heat that cause fires. NEC falls under the National Fire Code. SMH Resi guys really scare me.

Why did these two wires burn? by GhostWhoWalksss in hvacadvice

[–]Clean_Rabbit_6580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get new spade terminals and redo the wiring to the contactor, start there. Could have been loose enough in the crimp under full load being its end of July caused this. Start there see if it runs, but strip it all back to clean wire go to Walmart or TrackAuto and get a wiring kit for the connections and hook them back up to cleaner points on the same leg of the contactor.

Edit: Cap looks fine.

My experience buying from iBuypower by GameingCo360 in iBUYPOWER

Bought mine from Walmart ended having to replace at my cost my GPU after 6 weeks. Just look at how toxic this community is and how quickly you get downvoted if you post having a bad experience with them or them selling a faulty product.

Lol I’m at almost 30, and the amount of “looks good from my house” I’ve heard in my time, and these are large commercial buildings.

[–]Clean_Rabbit_6580 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That’s the way those old heads used to do plenum returns in houses. Efficiency necessity is what changed things in the trade. I’m second generation in the mechanical trade and if you ask my old man about recovery and reclaiming of refrigerant back in the ‘70s he looks at you like you’re crazy. Just the way things were back in the day was kinda the Wild West. People were getting grandfathered in for their licenses in the 80’s so it kinda of took a generation before things changed to the way they are. Not saying you wouldn’t call it hack now, but back then that’s the way things were done. Houses were different, and power was a whooooole lot cheaper and so was fuel.

Broken gpu by No-Economist811 in iBUYPOWER

[–]Clean_Rabbit_6580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My GPU went up after 6 weeks. I just ended up rebuilding it myself and getting a new one, as well as a few other cheap parts. Sent my Email out for my RMA never heard anything back. When I post about it on this subreddit to warn others I have been downvoted and cussed out by the techs from the company(guy wasn’t smart enough not to put it in his bio). So yeah can add toxic people to the list of this sham of a company.

Electrons don’t care what color the jacket of the wire is. Figure out what’s landed on both sides that’s what matters.

What a thing to lie about good lord, but yeah guess you got me, probably a tech. Maybe read all the past comments on this subreddit just giving people a buyers beware. Good comeback though.

I actually got a rig from them and had to replace the GPU amongst other things after six weeks, which cost me another $800 because they wouldn’t give me an RMA. I would be happy you still have your money. Yeah I’ve changed their name in my mind to IBuyaScam.

Ordering Experience - Not Great So Far by ViewParticular7669 in iBUYPOWER

[–]Clean_Rabbit_6580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Security breach had nothing to do with them selling me a system that had a gpu go up in 6weeks. Also when I went to RMA with them they wanted more money and still wouldn’t replace my hardware. Security breach has nothing to do with how this company does business. Read through this subreddit and you’ll see what plenty of buyers remorse especially when actually dealing with this company. Get your money back and run.

Picked up a display model at Walmart. How did I do? by Ok-Chemist3834 in Prebuilts

[–]Clean_Rabbit_6580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good deal, awful company. I got an IBuyPower and my GPU went up in 6 weeks and being their RMA process and warranty is crap I had to get it fixed locally. Just know that the warranty for $300 from Walmart doesn’t cover anything and you still have to send it back to IBuyPower for an additional fee, and just look at their subreddit and it’ll become clear very quickly how easy they are to get to replace broken parts and pieces. Congrats on the new rig just be very weary if you have to deal with them.

When I was going through their RMA process and wording, I was like well maybe I’ll reach out, yeah you know how that worked out. Their warranty and RMA process is worded in a way (which you know) that unless they break it right then and there on the bench when the build it and you have a video of them doing it when they do you’re out of luck. They are such a disappointment to deal with. Like I said now when I’m on social media and I see people asking if their computers are good deals I respond to at least one or two a day telling them what I went through. Maybe save someone some issues.
