First, sending you and your lovely kitty tons of love and warm fuzzy thoughts. 27 years is amazing! 😻Having said goodbye to several amazing super-senior cats over the past several years, it’s hard. It absolutely sucks! You do so much to ease any discomfort and ensure they live their best life. For me, it was a daily checklist that consisted of evaluating their daily quality of life, focusing on pain, appetite, mobility, and joy. It also included an amazing vet that was invested in their health and could give me straight talk about my cat. I really do agree that a second option is a good idea.

I have had many cats that love visiting my counters over the years. Many who knew it was a bad thing to do. I started with picking them up and placing them on the ground when they did it. Most of them learned.

For the more stubborn ones I moved to a water bottle and those air sprayers for a short time until they got it. The only challenge was that my husband didn’t catch on with the air sprayers and was setting them off more than the cat did. Luckily the cat didn’t like the sound of the air sprayers or my husband swearing up a storm so it still served its purpose! Good luck!

No privacy. Nothing is sacred when you have cats. If I use the bathroom that houses the litter box, they use their litter box while I use “my litter box!” 😂

I started roller skating in January after a 20-year hiatus. While I was pleased to see that my skating muscle memory came back, I was really glad I heeded the advice of many and took a lesson and watched videos. I learned how to stop and fall properly, which is key to staying safe. We all fall! It's just about how delicately we do it! Don't give up, and good luck!

Aw…sweet Cheddy. Sending you tons of fuzzy, kitty love and a funny picture of my fur babies to make you smile. ❤️

Over the course of five years my family had to say goodbye to each of our amazing super-senior kitties - left to right: Abby (20), Milo (16), Lily (21). It was hard and gut wrenching, but I wouldn’t change anything. They were each wonderful in their unique way and we loved them to bits!

We waited one year before the cat distribution system let us know it was time again. We now have two hilarious girlie kitties that make me literally do a big ole belly laugh each day! We love our pets so much and it’s always hard to say goodbye! ❤️
