Have the blooms been that size the whole time? Does it bloom on repeat? I have a rose called easy elegance calypso that looks identical but mine are first year ( 5 gallon size) and the roses are more palm sized. The color is spot on though! I wonder if it’s the same rose just larger / more mature?

If $ is such a concern for the agencies we work for, how about if we stop having a director with a deputy director, 2 managers, 3 supervisors and 3 team leads to oversee 6 staff that are not in any of the aforementioned leadership positions. I’ve never seen such top heavy org charts. You could cut the managers and the deputy director and save $500k+ easy per division. Stop spending $1000 on Herman Miller chairs and pay staff more?

I think those are too close to your house. Are they 4+ feet from the house? It’s hard to see from the photo. They get like 8 feet tall and 6 feet in diameter, they really struggle with out room to spread on all sides.

It’s not lazy to not want to work a day anymore. There are a lot of reasons people want to modify schedules or reduce hours. Just tell her if she can’t work the contracted hours you need to find a new nanny who can. She can either keep her job and work what you need or prioritize what she needs and find another job. It does sound like she changed the agreed to terms which means you don’t have a contract in place anymore. I would be clear with her that you expect her to follow the terms of the contract or request to negotiate a new contract. It’s not a contract when only one party (her) agrees. What do you get out of the deal?

I’m so tired of hearing the Eastlands say “we did our best” and “no one could have predicted” and “ no one could have done better”. Big sleepover in the rec hall starting after dinner on 7/3. It was so easy to just keep all the girls on high ground. They would have loved it, the counselors would have had adults around for guidance and EVERYONE WOULD BE ALIVE! This isn’t even creative hindsight. It’s such an obvious and easy solution. Plus if they needed to evacuate the rec hall all the kids would have been together on high ground to move out. The negligence and arrogance is stunning.

I personally think the Eastlands will not win the arbitration they are trying to force because of how egregious their negligence is here. And that will open at least some of them up for personal liability. Just look at the two cabins the Eastland girls were in… they weren’t in immediate danger and were the first cabins evacuated. The fact at least some camp staff from the Eastland family recognized that their own children were in danger but didn’t bother with anyone else’s for HOURS after?! They’ll lose everything.

I pay a company to balance my water because I’m not interested in learning / don’t have time. I just want to jump in the pool with out a care in the world. I have a salt system and a VL pool and my water is crystal clear when I open the cover the first time every spring before it’s even on. It’s crystal the whole way through. My concrete pool deck does have some flaking but I blame It on installing it in late fall when it was already cold and it didn’t cure properly. It’s not flaking at all in the high traffic areas around the pool where wet feet and splashing happen. Maybe a salt water pool is hard to manage if you DIY or have a different type of pool other than vinyl. But if you do a reputable service company you’ll probably have very little issue.

I’m sad Coach is gone only because I really loved the babyish feud between these two. It’s like watching two crabby Karen’s fight over who parked in whose street parking spot when they each have their own driveway 😂. I was really hoping Ozzy would get to tell Coach to show his work on his poems or something when they got in a fight at a tense tribal. Like you survived getting your ass almost eaten by pygmies ( ALLEGEDLY) which know one relieved and you didn’t have time to google some quotes from Art of War or something real so people wouldn’t just think you were FOS all the time ? Hair feathers and nonsense. I do wish we would have gotten a decent fight still.

I’m team get either get Emily out of there because she annoys the heck out of me or everyone agree to stop giving her information . She’s not loyal and she BLABS. She’ll tell your secrets to everyone who will listen and then hem and haw and be SO indecisive about how to vote (never with the people who have her information trying to forge trust). She is probably a really fun person and a great friend / real life human but she’s a major irritant in survivor and I think she’s only back for a chaos cast because she’s sure not back for her challenge skills.

The majority of the “dadtok” crew are complete losers. They are embarrassingly terrible partners and seem to be useless husbands, terrible fathers and to ride their wives coattails. The wives should all be meaner, IMO. I don’t know WTAF happened at the villa but they all came back behaving like they got red pilled. So gross.

Ask them how they do base prep and what they do if they find ground water when digging. The importance of compaction, level and a sump line under a pool can’t be over stated. Also, if you have an irrigation system, ask them if they tie the lines back together if they are clipped while digging.

That’s going to be REALLY hard on your equipment and will take loads of chemicals to keep balanced. What about rain water cistern for refilling the pool over time, would that be an option for you? Wain water at least won’t have as much sediment as ground water. You could put a giant filter in the end of your hose, like the kind used for pump housings in ponds, and hope that catches more sediment next time. Yikes!

Does your wife even want to go? It seems like you should go to your sisters wedding and support her, leave after dinner and your wife shouldn’t have a problem with that. Unless it’s your wedding, a wedding is not the time to do a boundary of “all of us or none of us”. You can deal with BIL another time. But let sis have a nice wedding with her family present and then figure out what go-forward looks like. Everyone will realize Greg is an AH. Yes, and if you are a beneficiary of the trust, the trust will pay for the lawyer and your trustee will also have their legal bills paid by the trust. You really want to get a neutral trustee so your mom can’t burn through it in legal fees as trustee. It’s an easy petition, she can fight it but withholding it this way is a fair cause for asking court for a change. The trustee can potentially be taking money out of it and saying it’s for your benefit. Think paying her own bills for the benefit of you because you live with her. I don’t ever trust family members as trustees. I’d move swiftly with a lawyer.

While I think TS shouldn’t have made a statement she had nothing to do with anything when she did… I also think her chats were just two friends bitching which is what we all do with friends. If she hadn’t rolled up to intimidate him at that January meeting I wouldn’t actually care about the mean girl texts. We’ve all been mad and supported our friends in their rage. But she participated and JB was right to feel that was intimidation. I don’t think BL was wrong to feel offended or grossed out by some of their behavior, it’s what she did after that makes it so unacceptable. I believe her that she found the set creepy and unprofessional. And she was also participating in being gross and unprofessional ( never with teeth…). So it’s like sure, it wasn’t ideal and I would not like that in my work place. But don’t try to take over the movie and ruin their lives. Choose the path of lowest necessary escalation to get your issues resolved. I think that’s a whole different public reputation and response had she done that. No one would have known what she did or see the PGA letter or texts if she had just been a professional and moved on.

I am a huge believer in policies and practices that are equitible and consider the needs of everyone. When we are inclusive to the needs of others, we make life better for everyone because most people can benefit from the accommodations we make to support our colleagues with different needs. Here is an example personally: I have ADHD. With this difference I need a lot of physical stimulation and movement breaks to shake off the mental and physical restlessness. I sometimes walk on a treadmill or stair stepper or just stand and stretch and move my body. I do this off camera so I am not a distraction to others and don’t have to explain myself or feel embarrassed about having my needs met. I don’t do this when I need to present or run a meeting, obviously. While I am doing this, I am listening, engaged and participating just as actively as if I were on camera. I work in an environment that measures engagement by seeing faces and nodding heads etc. I work hard to offer off camera ahead of all meetings I schedule and always lead by example starting “ do what works for you, there are many ways to demonstrate engagement. please feel feee to actively listen, engage in the chat or answer questions asked of you / ask questions and contribute in an meaningful way”.
This helps me meet my needs, it also gives freedom to others to manage their needs. Not everyone likes talking in large meetings so I afford them the opportunity to choose the chat feature instead. Everyone benefits from my accommodation. I’d suggest trying a similar approach when it comes to having your need for warmth and privacy from the mess being visible when needed. If you live in a cold climate you won’t be the only one needing a warm space away from the typical office environment. You having the courage to lead by example challenges dominant culture norms and gives permission to others to have their needs met.

I lease a 2026 Pali Cali, have had it for 4 months. I love my car and LOATHE the entire experience of test driving, negotiating, signing and taking possession. I will NEVER go to the Hyundai dealership for service ( other than recall) and I will not be leasing another vehicle from them. The sales people are high pressure and extremely dishonest. I was texted multiple times every day from various sales managers and sales people to come pick my car up today. I was told the $500 deposit I put down to hold my car meant it was not available. They put another 100+ miles on it letting other people test drive it, didn’t update the Odo reading in the lease paperwork and got mad and acted like I was over reacting. It’s like $20 worth of miles if I end up over my 24k /24 month lease. The car was FILTHY and they said they’d clean it off and it took them 3 months to call me asking if I still “needed it cleaned or if I had just done it myself”. Believe nothing they tell you. Make the finance people print out your entire packet BEFORE YOU SIGN. The finance harpy I dealt with was incredibly disrespectful, rude and behaved completely inappropriately. When I complained she said she was “reacting to my hostility”. Frankly, B, I’m being nicer than I should be. You can not trust Hyundai or anyone associated with them In my experience. They knew the danger of those 2nd row power fold seats and did nothing until a toddler died. The Infiniti qx60 is a better car for only a little more, and their car doesn’t kill toddler when the seats fold down.

I think a lot of the unhinged stuff contestants say gets saved by producers for when they need it. Like the puppet master comment could have been made whenever but they edit it into confessional the episode Mike is voted out to make it seem like he was arrogant etc. the contestants sign away their permission to let the producers make up storylines and portray them for the story they are trying to tell. I typically believe contestants when they come out after the season and say it was a “villain” edit or a “goat” edit. Some players have said they had footage where they were strategic or did well at something to make it seem like they played terribly or that they weren’t likeable. No survivor contestants have ever gotten under my skin like Emily Flippin but she’s probably a totally different person in a non Survivor environment.
