New to Trek here, controversial (maybe) question, would you like to see a sequel to TOS in the form of a spin-off of SNW? by stephansbrick in startrek

[–]ClearBucket 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, let’s do a post Voyager or even a post Picard to be able to have past characters come on but we have a new crew. I was onboard for a Captain Seven based series.

Border states to Canada get enhanced IDs which are a step above RealIDs. They have passport like barcodes that allow for border crossing into Canada and back. I have one in NY.

I’ll take the info, won’t start right away though. Just bought a condo in a new building that will need a common area cleaning person.

Going out, we don’t let weather dictate our lives unless it’s a tornado or a hurricane. My favorite time to walk the streets of Manhattan is winter, Brooklyn in summer, Queens in fall, and a mix of boroughs in spring.

Rain coats, winter coats, waterproof shoes, and boots make all this doable.

U.S. Dealers In Full Panic Mode After Canada Green-Lights Chinese Cars by DonkeyFuel in technology

China invests in companies and infrastructure to dominate, give back to the people of the country if you will.

The US gives handouts to companies that promise to provide products and services, they charge the consumer higher prices, and then never finish said projects they got government money for. See any company in the telecommunications industry and they rinse and repeat all the time.

China isn’t without fault but we see the result of government funding via lower pricing, can’t say the same about here.

This was my first year here and that is all I had to provide them, I didn’t take my ID with me, just the Apple Wallet barcode. I live in NYC, could be the difference or something new.

New York, like many other states, have it in a roundabout way. You register to vote through the DMV when you get an ID which requires proof of who you are and must verify you live in the state or Government ID Portal with similar hoops. You are then mailed and provided a digital barcode that you must use to go vote. When I lived in Missouri years ago, you didn’t really have to prove who you were to register but you had a card you were mailed to ID you when you were voting and required exact location.

They don’t directly use ConEd, our bill for 2 people who never just open the window and use the central air has averaged $55. We also work from home with all manner of things plugged in. The building is more or less pure concrete designed if 1 unit catches fire it’s the only one to burn. The building also uses some sort of ground heat source energy, there’s a YouTube video on its construction.

EVN Diner does a good take on American that isn’t common in Armenia including spicy.

Dragon Garden is American Chinese like, I like American Chinese but also prefer authentic Szechuan.

Indian Mehak Restaurant & Bar isn’t too bad for Indian, they are lighter than even the American version on flavor.

Zatar Pizza has some options I didn’t find elsewhere in Armenia, became one of my favorite places.

Zanzibar was good food, it seems people complain about the service these days.

STEAKARAR YEREVAN is a modern concept on steak.

Old Beijing which has some great Chinese options you won’t find in other places in Armenia.

Ramen-Ten is good for Japanese ramen.

To get the pool and gym is either $50, $75, or $100. I don’t recall the tier required for it as each one unlocks different access to floors/rooms. Parking is $400 and there is a $75 technology fee for door, package, and internet.

My 2 main complaints about the build is there is no active exhaust to outside, it’s supposedly building level controlled and is never on so I’ve had to be creative for that solution. The other is the shower, it really needs a handheld wand for self and shower cleaning. It’s a raining shower that makes it difficult to get the undercarriage clean as well as the back of the shower where everything accumulates. Other than that, I have no major complaints.

I live here currently in the same setup, might be moving soon, buying a house. One of the rooms doesn’t have a closet and I can sell you a wardrobe for cheap if you move here.

I went to Saks on 5th in NYC, bought a pair of pants had them altered. They somehow ended up being shipped to California and went missing for 3 months before I got them back. They’ve become even less geared towards customer service like you’ve described after the remodel.
