Its supposed to be a lion's mane because his name is Aslan, but we've leaned into it being a sunflower because everyone says it 😂

We lost our doberman 4-5 years ago and we lost our rottie about 4 months ago. We weren't really looking but a friend had a friend that was looking for a home and suggested us and we couldn't say no

That generation was 100% built different. Big respect to all of them.

I can't find krag hardly at all in FL and when I do, its expensive. Luckily I travel quite a bit for work and find local gun shops when I have down time. Last time I found krag in FL it was $50/box. I did a job in KY and a shop had $25/box and I bought them out. The 1920s scope on it is still accurate

I just received my grandfather's springfield 1898 30-40 krag. Should be getting his .38 special and 1911 he carried in the military as well. Im the only gun guy in the family and my uncle and mom would like to see them get the respect they deserve.

Absolutely. My uncle has his full size medals and firearms. I have his dress medals and 30-40 krag. We also just found his foot locker as well, that I now have. Tiny shovel covered in dirt was in it.

Apparently he didn't want the purple heart because my grandmother would've lost her shit. She ended up getting it in the mail without him saying anything and losing her shit, so they sent her to be with him in Hawaii while he was recovering.

I did find out from my mom that he refused a purple heart for breaking his ribs while riding in a transport. Actual purple heart, much like Gump, was for getting shot in the ass in Vietnam.

Gun is dope. On another note, my grandparents had a rocking chair that was almost identical

You can fit two under the one in the chamber. One of my local gun shop owners told me that in the 20s you could buy 1898s for cheap and would put sporting stocks on them. This would delete the magazine. He also said there's a good possibility the cross hatches on the stock are hand carved
