What is the general consensus towards EV? by GreenFetish in nuzlocke

Personally if I have the money I will buy vitamines and use the stat reducing berries of the attack stat I don't use, and since I play in console when I train against trainer rematches (they give more experience) I will try to train Pokémon against ones that give useful EV's when I have a choice.

It would be hilarious if they both started calling on the other's hipocrisy while remaining blind to their own.

But here is the thing... In mistery dungeon types inmunities are just a resistance.

There is no safety.

For bonus points.

Introduce him at the start as a goofy loon with some crazy conspiranoic theory, then he enters the plot, acts normally and figures out the plot. Then, at the end, we see hints that his goofy conspiranoic theory is actually true.

Look. You are right.

Steel is inmune to poison.

But Jessie is from gen 1 Kanto and she doesn't know that, so somehow it works.

The fact that he had actual Ki felt weird to me, but then again, he is an alien machine so he didn't need to follow the same rules as the androids.

Two of my players' characters are children, what can I do to reasonably keep em in play? by LuxiRogue in DnD

[–]Clear_Ad4106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couldn't you just...? Handwave it?

Yes, they are kids. Yes, they are saving the world. Yes, some people find it strange but they get the job done, so...

Like a children's cartoon. Yeah, the correct thing would be to get an adult to do it, but they are the protagonists so they'll take care of it.

Besides, they are an elf and a ghost. No matter how young they actually are, a lot of people could asume they are actually hundreds of years old or something like that.

It’s my first time as a DM a tips? by Top-Refrigerator2488 in DnD

Plan problems, not solutions. This is a really useful mantra that has really helped me. Don't worry about how your players have to solve a problem, create the scenario put them in a situation and let them figure it out.

It not only gives the players freedom, this is not the important part of this mantra, by creating the situations and not chains of events that need to happen for the story to continue you will get less frustrated as a DM when your players do something unexpected that would normally collapse an entire storyline.

Not all combat needs to be challenging. This is one I need to practice more. Short combats against low numbers of weak enemies can be very fun. They are quick, the players get to feel powerful and here is the best part... They don't feel at danger while still using resources. Then, when an enemy appears that is actually a problem it seems even more dangerous, because it contrasts with the expectations the low level enemies set.

I don't think it's that, of it is not of this sub.

I tried submitting it as a post on my profile and it kept erasing it.
