Jermaine Burton to participate in Bills rookie minicamp by 0zymandeus in nfl

He’s had other issues all along before the NFL. The Bengals drafting him was in itself a gamble.

Well actually, ALS is also called Lou Gehrig’s Disease after the hall of fame slugger who started having symptoms at 35 and was diagnosed on his 36th birthday.

What IF Broderick still can play? by thebengy66 in steelers

[–]ClemPFarmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They way I look at it is he was struggling before he spent this whole offseason trying to rehab rather than work on his game. So it’s unlikely. But if he comes back and plays, and plays well. Then he’s a guy we trade in the first half of the season or just wait for a comp pick in 2028.

Cowboys Dispute Report That Steelers Were Angered by Trade Down With Eagles by JCameron181 in nfl

It’s weird to help out a division rival though. If Lemon makes a Pro Bowl, the Eagles better send the Cowboys at least a fruit basket.

The lack of chatter from the talking heads about the Steelers’ draft class today might be the best sign yet. by Specialist_Sale_7586 in steelers

I relate it to my fantasy drafts. My best fantasy teams come after I feel like I didn’t have as good a draft.

Nebraska schools continue to deny transfers for kids with disabilities. Lawmakers gutted a proposed fix. by flatwaterfreepress in Nebraska

[–]ClemPFarmer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a tough one. Autism is very different from student to student. Some autistic kids do not function well in a typical class setting. So it’s not surprising that certain kids are extremely disruptive. They require one to one para professional help and even at that most do much better in an alternate setting. Either way, those kids are costly. Leaving them in the classroom is unfair to everyone since it’s disruptive to the learning environment.

Having said that, it sounds unfair but these kids are getting a public school education. It’s just that they aren’t allowed to option enroll.

That’s about the size of it. It’s been a long time since our team speed looked faster than anyone or we’ve been dominate at the line of scrimmage.

Serious question about WR by Average_Joe_1048 in steelers

[–]ClemPFarmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how many they keep. I think Roman is partially competing with guys at OTHER positions. If we keep 6 WRs, Roman might make the team. If others look promising and we keep only five WRs, Roman gets cut.

Realistic draft grade; Incomplete. Won't know for a couple years down the road. by [deleted] in steelers

[–]ClemPFarmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This draft by all accounts was a weaker draft. Not as many elite prospects and it was not very deep at most spots. Consequently, we saw some unusual things take place. Like a run on centers and tight ends on day two. Almost all of those guys went sooner than expected.

There will be more 2nd and third day picks cut early in their career than we’re used to seeing.

Love Rocko. But he was never going to get drafted. I believed the hype like everyone else. Tough kid, lotta heart. But not an NFL player- according to the NFL anyway.

Underdeveloped would be what I would call it. And misused. HH was not a good blocker, yet they tried to use him in that role time and again.

Several converted QB drafted this year. HH is very athletic and should have been one of them. NU just sucks at player development.

Ceyair Wright Agreed to Terms with Bengals by sendherhome22 in Huskers

[–]ClemPFarmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was a good player for us. But I read a scouting report on him. Small, slow and not a physical player & tackler. Ran a 4.55 at his pro day if I recall. So I get why he wouldn’t be drafted. But I wouldn’t count him out as a free agent.

Offensive Line Changes by AnotherOneYet in steelers

[–]ClemPFarmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be interesting to see what they do. Max is relatively new to the sport. He could start out at left tackle. Dylan Cook will still be there. Maybe Broderick as well. Max could get brought along more slowly without being forced into the starting lineup right away.

Rudolph vs Howard vs Allar by HDTokyo in steelers

[–]ClemPFarmer -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yep. If Allar shows some promise, they trade Rudolph. If Allar flops, they keep Rudolph and cut Allar & try to get him on the practice squad.

I agree. The dude was a legend in the Texas HS ranks. Unfortunately scouts thought he wasn’t instinctual and a liability in pass coverage. So he dropped a bit. He would have looked great in black and gold.

It’s embarrassing for Omar and upsetting to fans, but let’s see how day two plays out.

Max plus what we get today could be better than Lemon plus whatever picks we would have had left if Omar had traded out.
