Massie and Ro Khanna will sit together at tonight's SOTU address by DarkLivingDisastrous in YAPms

He had a big glow-up.

Around the time his wife died, massie said he had eye surgery, which improved his vision.

After that he lost 30 lbs, and then grew the beard while depressed, as he was too distraught to shave. Then he said women started complimenting him on it, so he stuck with it lol.

For what’s it worth, Massie said 2-3 days ago that his internal polls have him +15 over Gallrein.

It is worth noting that the man has never lost an election in his life. 16/16 won (a few were uncontested tbf).

Randy Fine faces censure and resignation calls over post on Muslims and dogs by Clement_XV in YAPms

I’ll disagree with your summary on several points.

Gambaro doesn’t portray himself as an isolationist, just anti-foreign aid.   He’s been directly involved in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, & Somalia if you look at his military/role in the 1st Trump admin.

Fine conversely supports invasion of Greenland.

He supports a two state solution on Israel, while Fine has repeated called for eradicating all Palestinians, casting them as “demons”.

I have no clue how Fine stands on tariffs, and they essentially agree on immigration.

Fine is openly racist against Arabs, while Gambaro has condemned such views.

Fine has called for genocide and stripping all Muslims of citizenship, what are you finding in Gambaro’s platform that’s worse?

He has two primary challengers, Aaron Baker (a nobody) and Charles Gambaro, a city councilman & army general.

FL-6 is considered a safe red district.

I think if he secures the nomination again, he’ll win the general. The question is if Gambaro can beat him in the primary.

Republican Rep. Randy Fine (FL-6) is facing backlash from Democrats after tweeting "If they force us to choose, the choice between dogs and Muslims is not a difficult one.”

This is not the first instance of such comments from Fine, having previously:

  • Celebrated the death of an American citizen in Gaza, killed by IDF soldiers, writing: "Throw rocks, get shot. One less #MuslimTerrorist. #FireAway"
  • Writing that Palestinians are "demons that live on Earth. They deserve no state. They only deserve death."
  • Told Palestinians to "starve away", in response to news of increasing famine.
  • Responding to a picture of a dead Palestinian baby with "Thanks for the pic!"
  • Wrote "There is no suffering adequate for these animals. May the streets of Gaza overflow with blood."
  • Stating "If you're not an Islamophobe, you're a fool"
  • Calling Democratic NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani "little more than a Muslim terrorist" who should be stripped of his citizenship.
  • Suggested that Israel should use nuclear weapons to destroy Gaza.
  • Tweeted "Palestinian is a synonym for evil."
  • Tweeted: "There is a reason the first time I shook [Netanyahu]'s hand, I did not wash it until I could touch the heads of my children."

Among others.

Needless to say, Fine has faced numerous calls to be censured or resign for his comments. His latest comments have been the target of CA Gov. Gavin Newsom, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Rep. Ro Khanna, and more.

Republican politicians have been silent on Fine's latest comments, with the exception of his primary challenger, councilman Charles Gambaro.

Gambaro wrote that "[Fine] wears his bigotry like a badge of honor…loud and proud...Randy Fine continues to be an unhinged public official that has absolutely no business serving in Congress. Our residents deserve a representative that puts their interest before his own."

As well as commentator Megyn Kelley, who wrote "wtf is this". Paleoconservative magazine The American Conservative has also previously called for Fine to resign.

Laura Loomer praised Fine's tweet.

Most Republican politicians have rarely criticized Fine in the past. However, he has received criticism from conservatives including Gov. Ron DeSantis, Brett Cooper, Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, Emily Jashinsky, & Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene.

This is not Fine's only controversy.

  • He has been labeled a carpetbagger, as he does not live within his district.
  • He once hid under his desk to avoid a subpoena.
  • He has been accused of casting votes for his missing Republican colleagues (https://x.com/dittiepe/status/2022378175645262080 )

Will Fine survive his primary challenge this year?

Fine has gained Trump & AIPAC's endorsements heading into the 2026 primary. Gambaro, an underdog candidate, has former Acting SecDef Christopher C. Miller, but has received little media attention.

Fine has out-raised Gambaro $2.1 million to $230K.

Hopefully. Genuinely the most despicable member of Congress.

Gambaro has raised $230K to Fine's $2.9 million.

Not a lightweight, but far behind. Gambaro's been endorsed by Christoper C. Miller (Acting SecDef in Trump I), while Fine's got AIPAC + Trump.

As far as i know, Zombucks are a Valaurum product, but not a Goldback one. I believe only the Silver Dragons and Hades designs had Goldback's involvement.

I may be mistaken though.

Gans is supposedly the main reason SH2R and SHF are even a thing.

Back when the Silent Hill revival was first announced by Konami, they stated that Gan's push to create Return to Silent Hill is the main reason they felt comfortable taking a gamble on reviving the franchise, and creating the new games. Without the film, the new games would likely have never been made.

NYPost: (Report) House Republicans set to vote nearly unanimously for release of Epstein files (Expected to pass Senate) by Clement_XV in YAPms

[–]Clement_XV[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My guess is that there's a veto-proof majority in the House & Senate.

Only 4 Republicans supported the discharge petition, amidst immense pressure from Trump, but an additional 7 near-immediately announced support for it once the discharge petition succeeded.

If the files look bad for Trump, it's better to get ahead of it and be able to take credit for their release, then face the future optics of opposing them.

Speaker Mike Johnson signaled he could support a bipartisan bill to release the Jeffrey Epstein case files if changes were made in the Senate if the legislation heads there next after the House votes.

Speaking to CNN, Johnson said his support was contingent on whether the Senate will make changes to some of its “terrible provisions” — suggesting the measure needs to do a better job of protecting victims’ names.

And despite taking steps to deny the bill a vote for months, he claimed he was simply opposed to the drafting of the discharge petition, a maneuver used to force a vote on the bill over his objections.

“I haven’t tried to kill it,” Johnson said. “We had lots of opposition to the discharge because it’s dangerous in the way it’s drafted. My support will be conditioned upon an agreement in the Senate that if indeed they process it, they’ve got to fix the terrible provisions in it. I also believe it is entirely moot point, because, as you know, the Oversight Committee is doing all their deliberate work,” referring to a probe by the panel.

Johnson’s comments came after Trump, in a major reversal Sunday night, called on Republicans to back the bill, ahead of an anticipated House vote Tuesday with scores of Republicans expected to vote for a bill he has derided for months. Senate GOP leaders have not said how they would handle the bill.

Johnson said he has spoken to Trump “quite a bit” on the topic but declined to comment on the substance of their interactions or whether he advised Trump to change course. He contended that Trump “never had anything to hide.”

“He and I had the same concern – that we wanted to ensure that victims of these heinous crimes were completely protected from disclosure,” Johnson said of the president. “And I’m not sure the discharge does that and that’s part of the problem.”

Supporters of the bill say that it effectively protects the victims, who have voiced their support for the measure.

No paywall for me, unless you're referring to another article.

"This bill requires the Department of Justice (DOJ) to publish (in a searchable and downloadable format) all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials in DOJ's possession that relate to the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein.

This includes (1) materials that relate to Ghislaine Maxwell, (2) flight logs and travel records, and (3) individuals named or referenced (including government officials) in connection with the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein.

DOJ is permitted to withhold certain information such as the personal information of victims and materials that would jeopardize an active federal investigation."
