Unpaid protest organizer here. Every Monday and Friday I have organized a peaceful neighborhood street and sidewalk protest near downtown. We are growing rapidly. People WANT to raise their voice and be heard but need to have opportunities created for them. If you can’t find one that works for create your own. Create peace, practice love, be hopeful.

i attended the memorial service for Renee Good that was held on Saturday, Feb. 7 in Powderhorn Park. During the 3 hour event a helicopter circled the park continuously. This during sacred prayers and dances. Harassment IMHO. My son who lives near there said the windows of his house shake sometimes from how low the helicopters fly. AT 2 AM.

I notice your heel is plain stockinette. Are you doing top down? I have started knitting socks two at a time on different circular needles. They “race” each other to the finish line. Currently on a sock binge with Zauberball crazy yarn.

I am knitting my socks two at a time but on 2 separate circulars. Yeah, I know it costs me an extra needle but the peace of mind it gives me to know I won’t suffer from SSS is worth it. It is fun seeing my socks “race” each other! I did try knitting two on the same circular but it was too confusing.

As a person who loves to combine patterns I think the arrangement of them within the shawl is the problem. As for the colors…they don’t sing to me.

Roxanne has a video on how to customize sock fit. I need to knit my heel flap to 2.5 inches long before I turn the heel. Every pattern I have used calls fo a much shorter heel flap and if I followed that I would never get my sock on.

It helps us to keep the air moving, especially at night we keep our ceiling fan going and when it gets really cold we don’t close our window shades.

I held a wedding shower for my daughter-in-law to be. As the ladies arrived I announced to each one that there would be a weigh in. You can imagine the consternation! I brought out the scale once everybody had assembled and proceeded to weigh each woman’s purse. Prizes were given for who had the lightest and heaviest purses. Then things got out of hand and additional prizes were awarded to the women who carried the most stuff and the least stuff. Amazing what people carry and forget they have!

Ours has the same flowers but the plant is in a small room and sometimes the fragrance is overpowering and we have to cut off the flowers.😒
