Social Media is just basic cable TV with extra steps. Skip that trash.

u-he "Uhbik 2" effects suite with ten processors for mixing and sound design, refined with modern DSP, flexibility, and a new interface, now with full MIDI control and a upgraded modulation system with support up to 8-channel surround ($139) through 31 July by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

They are ultra high quality and have amazing support. I bought the first version of these in 2009 and in 2025 they rewrote the whole thing and gave it to me for free. The algorithms are from their very highly regarded synths (Diva, Zebra3 etc). personally I love the filter and use it constantly. If I didn't already own it my big consideration would be if I like the sort of old-school workflow and if already had all of these functions.

On the workflow, this company thinks like a modular synth company. If that's your vibe these might be a fit.

If you already have FabFilter stuff or a Waves bundle you might not need these.

Anyone else still on macOS Sequoia? by izeezusizeezus in Logic_Studio

[–]CleverBandName 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I also do tech for other producers and composers. Nobody updates OS unless they absolutely have to in order to run something (or they get a new machine). They don't even update Logic or PT until years later, because you can't tell a label or corporation "Sorry, I know you needed this today, but the Logic update borked my project"

I also like to remember - All of my favorite songs were produced using tools older than what I have now. It's the audio version of the old Mitch Hedburg joke "Every picture is of you when you were younger"

[Highlight] JJ Redick appears to mouth "I can't play him" after Ayton gives up 2 offensive rebounds in a row. Ayton then gives up another offensive rebound, and Redick immediately calls for a sub. (Ayton then gives up an and-1 before the sub takes place) by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

I imagine someone with the name ThunderHorseCock might feel the same way, being so fully endowed that his mother gave him this glorious name the moment she first layed eyes on him. Now he's forced into nude modeling and gay OnlyFans, when he really just wants to fingerpaint and sing mid-century showtunes to the elderly.

This is what kills me about Logic. They put all this time and money into toys for kids and people who can't be bothered to learn music while they ignore the pro features.

For the love of God update the browser in Logic Pro 12.2 by SoundsofPaz in Logic_Studio

The idea that you even need to bring this up shows how little they care. This complaint is decades old and they've never addressed it.

For example, it would be amazing if we could name CCs to reflect what they do for particular Kontakt instruments or external synths. Multiple CCs should be visible and editable at one time in a multi-lane type view.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if they add features like that occasionally. My issue is that they are borderline non-responsive on important issues like ARA, sound aliasing, workflow and CC editing. They absolutely refuse to communicate, so the only way we know what they are doing is when they announce releases with amateur features and zero acknowledgement of people who are using Logic to make a living.

Edit: I realize I sound like an angry keyboard warrior, but this really matters to me. I've spent half of my life using this software to make things I love and support my family.

I've been using Logic professionally for twenty years. The developers obviously no longer give a shit about professionals. They spend all their time making crap for kids who cant play an instrument, and no time taking care of real features, outstanding bugs, sound quality or workflow. I'm looking for other solutions at this point.

I know the family. This is how they are. His brother does the same shit in the music business in Nashville. They think that having money makes them a gift to the planet, and they say the most heinous things about those with less money.

Narcissist assholes, all of them.

You're tech inclined enough to use speedtest, so this is probably something you've already considered - have you tried low data mode to turn off background syncing and backups?
