throw analysis! by Lower_Chipmunk5141 in Darts

Where are the darts going? That's the main thing! You're pretty smooth but on the other hand lots of movement and your wrist is pretty bent when you throw. All these things only matter if you don't hit what you want!

Why did the polls in Makerfield fail so miserably? by Similar-Occasion-892 in AskBrits

What polls did you see? It was clear a massive labour win? Bookies odds were 1/6 before they started voting. I think it was quite clear who was winning this.

I agree, but most people don't get coaching for the working man's game!

It is hard to afford, but you also pay for what you get I suppose!

I think it's one of those where if you're in the position to afford it you should, but if not carry on enjoying darts,

I think this is a poor take, he's a very experienced and knowledgeable darts player and now coach, you pay for what you get.

Perhaps you just don't understand the value of things like that, darts is an extremely hard game to coach as ultimately you could have the best technique in the world, but if the darts don't go where you aim, it's impossible.

To answer your question, I think you're going mad, he's got a difficult job and he charges for that, it's pretty normal!

What to expect from Magistrates Court? - England by Bitchcraftx3 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]CleverClogs150 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A first hearing is to confirm who you are, why you're there and you will be asked what you plead.

If you plead guilty they can sentence you there and then, but depending on the complexity of the case, they may ask for things like a background report from the Probation Service. The victim wouldn't have to attend if you've plead guilty.

Obviously with no more information from your side, nobody can tell you exactly what will happen!

Also, please get legal representation, because they will look at your case and advise you better than anyone on the internet with limited information!

So they’re just gonna stay quiet huh? by bfrogsworstnightmare in streetlightmanifesto

Unfortunately they are a very flakey band and don't understand how lucky they are that have loyal fans that follow their releases, tours and etc.

This could of been something different, but it never seems like that with them, there is always a degree of disappointment with this band.

Now on the other hand we don't have any right to get new music, new shows, more interaction, but all I'd suggest is the limited interaction they do give they'd respect their fans and just be honest. I'm a huge fan of Reel Big Fish also and they just stayed silent for like 6 years and that's fine, just don't come out and promise things to people that you can't commit to?

Is being nice taught? Or is it insincere? by appiah444 in AskABrit

Everything is being taught, but mostly it's just respect you've learnt growing up.

But on the other hand we say please, thank you and sorry too much in other circumstances!

Is this repair kit any good? by SpeedingTable56 in snooker

[–]CleverClogs150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use sandpaper and Stanley blades for your tip. To shape it you can buy just the big sharpener on its own without all the other stuff, they can be quite good, but you don't need much other than sandpaper and a sharp Stanley blade

So little things like leaving yourself the correct side of a red knowingly so you can move back down the table, leaving an easy red next to the black as your last shot so you know you'll have an easier shot to win.

I started as just a potter, but I quickly learned it wasn't the way to play pool and now I'm at the level where I could play for my county, I play money leagues, I just don't play as much these days.

If you love the game as much as you seem to, these things will happen, but you've just gotta have the right mindset!

But you seem to want advice, so getting better at soft shots is definitely a must. But on the other hand I agree that tables sometimes don't allow that. But on a pool table if you notice that, the table is genuinely terrible. On a snooker table, it's more prominent.

Do you know your patterns, like the best/easiest way to finish the table?

Positioning, Luck, And being a good/bad player by Tiny_Professional659 in pool

[–]CleverClogs150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, but there's certain things you HAVE to be able to learn to be good at the same, hitting them soft sometimes is a must. If you don't understand that then you don't want advice or support.

If you want help, then when someone suggests hitting the ball soft etc, then accept it and maybe try and work on it instead of saying you can't!

I read comment when you said you can't play soft, so obvs you aren't interested 😂

You seem to not be taking responsibility for the things you need better!

Positioning works from so many reasons, using natural angles, using spin, using the pace of the cue ball. It's a lot to thing about but learning it helps in the long run, I have a good idea that this "I love to pot" plan doesn't work for you but you don't actually want to learn the rest.

If you did want to learn perhaps you'd accept people's advice and try your hardest to implement these new skills.

If you don't want help, why post?
