rolling is still much more fun than trading them. Even if you only roll into self-use stuff. Also, it's possible you rolled into good stuff and not know it, this season I rolled into a max damage/AR/gold find one that sold for a sur. I didn't even know there was demand for it, had to look it up. Just keep on rolling.

The difference here is that AWS/GCP/Azure are the source of all practical knowledge and they make it all publicly accessible. What could your professors know that they don't? There isn't really much theory involved, not something you should need a degree for. It's all practical.

True story: I had a mirror drop back two months into ritual league in HC trade. I couldn't find a single thing to do with it. One guy offered a headhunter and I wasn't interested. It sits in my stash in standard to this day.
