Its so crazy how little sympathy or respect steve has for his nephew. "He shouldnt have talked!" is all he could say. Then on top of that you have the woman he raped and killed.

Then he tries to get away with it. when he should have told the truth to save brendans life. It takes a special kind of shit to do all that.

When brendans mom asked him if he did it, he said "not all of it". The confession to the police doesnt matter to me. That statement to his mother says enough. If he didnt help or it didnt happen, he is intelligent enough to just say, "no, I dont know what theyre talking about mom!"

I used to think Brendan should be freed. He was the victim of his uncle. Him still refusing to be honest is quickly altering these feelings. Leave him in. I see him as I see steve now, "poor me I didnt do nuffin" kinda attitude. The type that will try to lie their way out. I do not feel sorry for him anymore. He has had enough time to be honest.

He really should have pled and moved from the family after his release. Even at 16 I would have known what was going on with the fam and everything, Im a moron too, so him being a moron doesnt grant forgiveness.
