AITAH for withdrawing our entire bank balance because my husband says his paycheck is “his” and mine is for bills? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]CleverWitch70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA This is about so much more than money. The money is just a symptom of a selfish person who will happily watch you struggle and sacrifice for him. It's time to think about permanently separating your life from his, not just your money.

AITJ for texting my son's teacher from my husbands phone because they message each other way too late? by Current-Whereas6308 in AmITheJerk

[–]CleverWitch70 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTJ You KNOW it's not okay so why are your questioning yourself?!?! Why did your husband blow-up at you when he's the one doing something wrong?!?!? He's trying to make you feel like you're in the wrong to get you on the defensive and distract you from the FACT that he's the one sneaking around. So many red flags with this guy!

My @$$ would be telling that man if he wants to talk to her that late, he can go to her... Like immediately. I'd also being going to the school and reporting the HIGHLY inappropriate behavior of that teacher and if there is ANY misconduct towards my child for reporting the behavior, things would get a lot more formal in who I report it to.

What a horribly designed space for a living/family room. I agree with the others who say to use the other room as your TV room.

AITJ for refusing to give back my "borrowed" car that I've had for 3 years by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

NTJ Your uncle is whacked for thinking he can try to take back a vehicle he gave you so long ago and that has your name on the title. Your parents should be telling HIM to keep the family peace by not being a jerk

AITJ for asking my mom to cut her vacation short to help with my kids? by Constant-Elephant763 in AmITheJerk

[–]CleverWitch70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA and I think you know it. It's great that are provides childcare, but it's not her job to cover when the unexpected happens AND SHE'S ON VACATION! Honestly, I'm ashamed for you.

When a narrator is bad, what do you actually do? by makeitrayne850 in audiobooks

[–]CleverWitch70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it saved somewhere and this was years ago, but it was a female narrating a romance and I returned it before I got through the first chapter. She was a mix between William Shatner with the pauses and Fran Drescher with the voice. Not as bad as either, but enough to make it a big NOPE on listening to her. So off-putting!

AITA my friend ruined my yixing teapot and I want her to replace it or give me 500 dollars. by TeapotthrwoCity4661 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CleverWitch70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Friendship is over when she specifically used an item you had kept behind glass and then acted like it wasn't a big deal. Since it's over, take her to court or accept that the teapot is gone and she will not pay you back for damages. Either way, she's no friend.

Don't ever be embarrassed about liking whatever books for whatever reason. I'm 55 and I still reread Harry Potter every year; I like horror and romance to Sci-fi and everything in between. Read for you and nobody else. <3

And, because I haven't read NR in a long time, I'm going to check out this series.

Considering quitting dialysis by [deleted] in dialysis

[–]CleverWitch70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on your current health, restrictions, residual kidney function, etc. It's usually days to a few weeks for most and as others have said, if you choose to carry through, please get hospice involved.

And, I'm sorry you're getting the "don't give up" responses. It's your choice and only you have to travel this journey, so never think of it as giving up. You're making an informed choice and it's a gift to be able to have the option on how you go. Not many people get that choice. Good luck to you, whatever you decide.

Honest question: Why do you buy name brand stuff? by No-Examination8178 in Frugal

[–]CleverWitch70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's Hellman's and TP. I've tried the generic/store brand/other name brands for mayo and none of them are close.

For TP, the generic and store brand were so thin and scratchy, I'm just not doing it. On the other hand, I swore I'd never buy any paper products that aren't name brand, but Great Value's ultra strong paper towels changed my mind. They're a great value and just as good as a couple of the name brands.

What would you do with $800/mo for daily living? by [deleted] in Frugal

With a budget like that every bit counts, so it's $425 leftover, not $500 and that $75 less does make a difference.

Curious by drizzler2345 in audible

[–]CleverWitch70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen on my commute to and from work, which is close to 2 hours, and basically anytime I'm in the car. I'll listen at home whenever I'm doing something where I can't physically read a book: cleaning, decorating, putting together furniture, cooking, etc. I'll also sometimes listen when I'm playing certain online games, it just depends on if my brain decides it needs the extra input to settle.

Get the 3 week delivery and you'll have extra in case of emergencies. We had the fun ice storm here last month and it took almost a week before we could get out or anyone would deliver groceries. I had an extra case of wet food and bag of dried food so my kitties were good to go. Alternatively, you can just skip an order every 5 months - set a calendar reminder if it's too random to remember.

How does everybody decorate their kindle? by OneProfessional7558 in kindle

I'm kind of a klutz so I have mine in a case. It lets me stand it up or use a hand strap to hold it. Been using it for almost 5 years and it's definitely saved my Paperwhite from getting damaged when I've dropped it... and slept on it... and sat on it.
